My first time to work with MMF and I love it! So much easier than reg fondant and such fun. Tastes better too. Moon, stars and little baby are MMF, the rest is BC.

9X13 chocolate cake torted with chocolate buttercream and iced with regular buttercream. The image is a sugar run-in, the light sabre is a glow stick. Thanks to everyone who helped out on this one in the wee hours of the night!

This was my first character cake. I made this for my son's birthday party. In person you couldn't tell that my stars weren't close enough together, so it looked much better. I had originally made 2 colorflow darth's and they both broke, so I traced him on the cake and free handed his features by looking at the pic.

The theme for my neice's baby shower was Angels. I got this idea from one of the Wilton Yearbooks. Not bad for my first stacked cake. The angels were made from fondant a few days before the shower. They are holding piping bags and placed on the cake as if they are piping some of the stars on it. :)

My first triple stacked tiered cake. I used 9" round on bottom for a little step, then two 8" for top. I loved throwing the dot sprinkles at the side of cake to get them to stick. I did the stars cascading to fill in space.

I went to my first Wilton class this week and decided to go ahead and make a cake! It's not perfect but I'm pretty happy with it. I wish I had positioned the butterflies differently, but live and learn! I used Viva and a hot spatula to smooth the BC and used a small star tip to fill in the butterflies and to do the stars at the bottom.

This is for a good friend's grandson who loves Star Wars. I made 2 11x15 chocolate cakes with white buttercream. The edible image was too small, so I added to action figures, a chocolate transfer and the flame border. I think it turned out pretty good.

_ChristyB_'s cake inspired this one! But I knew there was no way I could pull off a fondant Vader! ;) 9" on bottom is funfetti doctored cake w/ chocolate pudding, 6" top is chocolate cake w/ vanilla pudding. Image was printed out and laminated ((I have to get myself one of those edible image machines!!))

My 2nd fondant cake. I auctioned it off and made about $15! It was a humid day and by the end of it, almost all the royal icing stars had fallen off! It was a lot of fun to make.

White cake with all buttercream icing and decorations. Yes, those are stars, done at the request of my friend. I used the Wilton spray color on this cake also. I was going for the night sky, but it is more of a smoky effect.

Choco cake and canned choco frosting. All decorations are done with cream cheese frosting. My first sheet cake (had to use 2 - 9x13s) and was double layer with choco filling. I knew the invites had polka dots on them and that they liked the star flower, other than that I was given free reign!

This was a full sheet cake covered in whipped cream icing (Wilton brand, which holds its shape very well). I made the lava with red piping gel and made a flame border with #18 star tip, I did striped icing with orange, red & yellow in the same bag to achieve the flame colors. The figurines were from the toy isle at Target, that way the keepsake becomes a toy.

This is a cake that I made for my husband's birthday. We are both huge Star Trek fans and I couldn't find any Star Trek Birthday cake ideas any where. As I was in a panic I started looking through the house and found his model Borg ship. I made it after the model. It was made with the sports ball pan and with the two piece book pan.

I did this cake for my best friend. She was from Texas and was marring a man from California. Her surprise for him was this Texas theme Groom's table. I used the Texas pan and decorated it with the Texas flag.

DS for a friend's son. The best was the look on his face when I delivered it! I had to slice more off the bottom than I would have normally because it had a 2 hour ride to make so it wasn't as round. The cake was 1 layer french vanilla and 1 layer choc choc chip with French vanilla bc. I've got to work on centering my letters but I was really happy with the corners(been working on my square cakes!)
