I got the idea for this cake from "justveggin'" My daughter loves monkeys and I was trying to figure out what to do when I ran across the one mentioned above. My daughter loved it and so I used her favorite color of green as the base. The cake is made from the standup teddy bear pan. It is sitting on a 10" round.

6/8/12, iced in all BC. Cake is sitting on a fountain stand .. but no fountain. Couple opted for florals under the stand. Middle tier iced in choc with gold dragees. The diamond quilting was done freehand with a skewer (that I had to dip in cocoa to prevent sticking). Scrolls on top tier were also done freehand. Bride's aunt made the silk florals. (Long shot showing the fntn stand is on my Flickr site.)

After I saw the cost of the cupcake stands at the SIGEP show...I priced plexiglass....and made this stand for under $50.00....it is 3 tiers seperated by clear plexi glass rods that are drilled, tapped and bolted with stainless steel grade 5 bolts. It will hold roughly 50 cupcakes. this stand was designed for a single event to showcase 75 oval shaped mini cakes for a breast cancer event. It will be paired with one additional stand. The lettering is traditional 22K gold leaf.

These are 6 inch round raspberry swirl cheesecakes with chocolate ganache topping. I purchased a black candle stand from Hobby Lobby that I thought would be perfect for holding small cakes. I then attached crystals to it to make it an elegant "chandelier cake stand". The raspberries in the middle are sitting on a flower bowl made from modeling chocolate.

The cupcakes were expected; the Barbie cake was a surprise for my friend's 40th birthday party. The party was themed with little kids' stuff: bounce house, finger foods, bubble gum chewing contest... Very cute! This was her first Barbie cake!!

This cake is definitely not "in style" right now, but brides like more than is in the current magazines. Also, I wanted to share the story of my "close call". This cake almost didn't make it to the reception because the bride wrote down the wrong date! We called for directions for the next day's delivery and were told that the wedding was taking place that minute!! We had to load up, deliver, set up, and arrange the flowers in half an hour! Guests were arriving as I was placing the last flower!

This cake was the perfect set-up for this couple. HE wanted separations between the tiers, SHE wanted stacked. This stand made it non-traditional, gave it height, and made them both happy!

Happy 2nd Birthday Ellie!
6" - 3 layer Red Velvet Dora the Explorer cake tops this cupcake stand with matching vanilla cupcakes. Purchased the candied Dora heads for the cupcakes, cupcakes topped with buttercream, everything else is SI fondant. Cupcake stand is Wilton's Sweet Server - styro foam and not very sturdy. Supposed to be able to reuse but we will see if it holds up. It was wiggling under the weight of the topper cake.

This is the biggest cake I've ever done. Half was vanilla pound cake, the other half was chocolate pound cake. All icing is buttercream and flowers are silk. I generally think fountains are outdated, but I liked the look of this cake.

A friend called the night before needing a cake for a volunteer at her job who was leaving to have her baby soon. She left the ideas up to me (as usual) which made it more complicated & since I had 2 other cakes to do that night, I came up with this simple tower. The 6" topper had a fondant baby bear w/a rattle on a blanket. The cupcakes were buttercream w/chocolate toppers. The best I could do when starting at 4am!! They all loved it & the mom-to-be was totally surprized. TFL!

Used Wilton Stand up House pan. BC on house. Sugar ice cream cone with BC for tree. Flower pots are Reeses peanut butter cups with BC and royal icing flowers. MMF for the sidwalk and lawn. Bushes and grass spots also BC. Fence is royal icing. Easter eggs are jelly beans. And bunny is DD's littlest pet shop toy :) Fun scene to make, although had trouble with house not leaning back (I've got something behind it keeping it from falling back LOL)

Was in Target today and saw these sectioned servers and the margarita glasses and immediately had an idea for some towers! All together cost me $20 to make the two. LOVE them. Can't wait to fill them up.

About 125 cake truffle pops for a charity event I did. The teacup cake (close up) is also in my pics. The stands are styrofoam cones covered in fondant with sugar flowers. It was fun.
