Cake I made for my Pastor's Anniversary. Carved out of min-loaf shaped cakes, 2 across and 3 down for the cross, and then one each for the banner on either side of the cross. Really fun to do - the stained glass is done with the wilton gels outlined first in black. Very time consuming and tedious though. Would have liked to have more time to complete the sides, but I'm still proud of it! Thanks to everyone who gave me suggestions in my post about doing something like this...I appreciate it !

This was a chocolate zucchini cake with chocolate SMBC. I pieced together MMF for the pansy and used black royal icing painted with silver pearl dust for the "leading." It was my gift to my MIL for her 50th birthday.

Thank you so much to Jill from the Wilton forum for the idea and instructions. I love the way it came out and hope I did her cake justice! I drew the poinsettia freehand, then used the toothpick method to transfer design to cake. Colored in with tinted piping gel.

This had to be the quickest I've ever had to make a cake, baked, cooled, frosted and decorated in 4 1/2 hours! Chocolate cake, chocolate buttercream, caramel sauce. Decoration is outlined with black choc bc and filled in with tinted caramel sauce. I think this is my favorite stained glass that I've done :)
Here's a video showing how I do it:

THis is a glass lamp that my son's teacher made out of glass. I tried to make it look just like it. It had 2 6in white sq cakes with chocolate filling and 1 6in chocolate with raspberry filling. He thought I bought the lamp for the gallery. It was so neat to have his reaction. thanks for looking.

We have such a beautiful rose stained glass window in our church that I decided for our church history celebration luncheon this Sunday, I would recreate that window on a sheet cake. And here is what I made.
Basic yellow cake, french vanilla buttercream, covered in fondant. The window was hand painted with food coloring and alcohol. The words were painted on and also the stained glass border.

This is one of my most favorite cakes! It is a 14 inch dummy covered in fondant then I did an image transfer with piping gel off of a pattern that I had made. I piped the outlines with a #2 tip and royal icing and then filled in with tinted piping gel that I painted with a small brush. In total it took me about 4 hours to paint but I didn't mind. =)

My friend is a mosaic artist, and is very generous with her work. For her birthday, I copied one of her suncatcher designs. Carrot cake with cream cheese icing and tinted chocolate mosaic sides, removable topper is fondant with nonpareils and coated sunflower seeds.

I made this for my Aunt's birthday and I wish the picture showed how neat this really was. I used piping gel and it looked just like a stained glass suncatcher I modeled it after.
