Square 12, 10, 8, 6", vanilla butter cake with buttercream icing, satin ribbon, real orchids. For a wedding this weekend, Thanksgiving in Canada. I had trouble with the icing because we had high humidity and warm and the butter in the icing softened so quickly. I hope it didn't melt before they got to have some! Very, very plain but that's what the bride wanted.

A 5-tier basketweave for an October wedding, bottom tier is styrofoam, 2" of hidden pillars between tiers, then filled with silk florals (provided by bride). All BC. Real ribbon woven into the BC icing. Cakes are 12/10/8/6 with a 16" styrofoam on an 18" silver plateau. I rec'd LOTS of compliments on the cake while I was cutting it!

The cake flavors are strawberry & white swirl. It is covered in White Chocolate Clay tinted blue using the colors (Delphinium Blue, Cornflower Blue, Sky Blue and Violet). The piping is RI. The bride had a monogram made for their wedding invitations and various other things. I made the Damask pattern on the cake to match their monogram. I was so pleased when the bride took a bite of the cake and gave it a "thumbs up" :o)

This was my first ever wedding cake. I got the order last minute and they just wanted something small for cake cutting pics. 10" and 6" square WASC cake with dark chocolate bc icing. Covered in a light lime green mmf. With egplant mmf band and gumpast dogwoods. It was not as smooth as i would have liked but over all i think it turned out well. Thanks for looking and comments are welcomed!

Real ribbon woven into BC icing basketweave. This is my funfetti cake (see other pic showing a slice of cake where you can see the pink and green funfetti). I didn't even know you could order special colored funfetti's until this cake! I was a little thrown when I saw the topper - it's a music box and VERY heavy, so that's why it appears to be leaning. I had no idea it was something this heavy and didn't do any support-prep to the top tier. Bride LUV'D it! Real rose petals tucked in each layer.

This cake was very interesting. I made it exactly like the bride wanted, it wouldn't have been my choices but she was happy. 3 cakes are 8 in x 6 inches tall, and the chocolate one is 6 in x 6 inches tall. The other flavors were Carrot w/cream cheese, Red velvet w/cream cheese, and Yellow w/almond. The wedding was in an art studio, it was pretty neat and different

It took me 10 years to get up the nerve to do a wedding cake. This is how it turned out. I was and still am very proud of it!

I made this cake with 6", 8", 10", & 12" squares. Each tier is three layers of cake. It's hard to tell in the picture, but the main icing is ivory buttercream and the scrolls are white buttercream. The flowers were fresh and were placed by the florist. I was very pleased with the final product. Thanks for looking!

My mom threw a 10th anniversary party for friends who didn't have a wedding. This was my first go at stacking square cakes. Silk roses on top.

3 tier (5, 8, 12) BC with fondant drape. I couldn't get an impression mat in time, so the diamond pattern was made with some rulers. Bottom tier is yellow cake with BC filling, middle is chocolate cake with choco bavarian creme, and top is yellow with strawberry preserves.

This is a design taken from a 1980's era Wilton book. The base is 18inch, then 10 inch and 8 inch top. The base was very heavy.

Over all I am happy with this cake but what a NIGHTMARE the whole wedding was...they called me monday to cancel the wedding then called 5pm on Wed to say it was back on...so I had 2 days to pull off a 5 tiered wedding cake and a grooms cake( one of the days being Thanksgiving!) I am happy it is over. They got a 3 tier which they were happy with and I pulled off the dolphin grooms cake too. The snowflakes are gumpaste painted with luster dust.

This is a four tier wedding cake for 200 covered with Stain Ice fondant and with all fondant accents. The gold accents were spray painted using PME Gold Luster Dust Spray and then accented with powdered luster dust as well. The actual cake is white cake with all buttercream filled layers. For the final touch I sprinkled very fine edible glitter over the cake which sparkled in the light, unfortunately it doesn't show in the photo. I hope you like it!

This cake was a gift for some very dear friends. The tiers are 18, 14,10, 6. The cake is a doctored white cake with orange curd filling. It is covered in ivory satin ice fondant with white royal icing decorations. The decoration matched the lace pattern of the bride's gown.

14/10/6. Bride saw a similar cake I had done (with gold ribbon) and selected that cake only with black ribbon. All BC except the ribbon and the silver foil leaves (her colors were black, red & silver). Transported this one fully assembled!! (That's getting less scary to do!)

Like I said before, square cakes are just impossible for me. I wasn't too happy with the corners.
