For a friend's New Years Day wedding. Wish I could have gotten the icing smoother and the corners sharper. You can also see the bulging icing and filling. All buttercream with fabric bows. First attempt at a gift box, that was quite a challenge.

This beautiful 3 tiered ivory cake conceals three different cake flavors hidden beneath buttercream icing. Buttercream swirls, an ivory ribbon, and fresh flowers complement the romantic theme.

Hi All! I have a wedding cake to do in 2 weeks...only my 3rd wedding...yikes! Anyway, I wanted to run a practice on a Mich Turner design. The actual wedding cake will be ivory color and 4 tier with 2 satellite cakes. I need to practice my scroll work some more before then...lol. The bow won't be on the real cake but I ended up giving the cake to a friend of mine for her daughters birthday so I had to add something to the top. Thanks for looking

This cake was so pretty, nobody wanted to cut it. (We finally did.. lol) The top tier is marbeled, the middle tier is dark chocolate fudge, the bottom is french vanilla. All had white chocolate raspberry buttercream, then covered in ivory fondant. The shells are white chocolate. I used pearl luster dust on the entire cake and shells. Thanks for looking!

4 tiers 12/10/8/6. All BC with polyester ribbon. Real roses and baby's breath provided by bride and attached by me upon assembly. This was one of my 7-7-07 brides ... the one that was featured in the USA Today article about 7-7-07 weddings. After the wedding, they had a chartered bus ready to take the bridal party to the casinos in Southern Indiana!

12/10/6 ... all BC, including the flowers. Bride requested the cascade down the side. What I would do different next time .... add more roses at the base, like I have on the middle tier. THis was one of my 7-7-07 brides. We also did her buffet.

My first tiered wedding cake - was very happy with the way it came out - although the florist did not send through enough flowers and the clients brief to me was all white flowers so that was a bit of a shock. my biggest worry was that the cake would collpase - but am happy to report it remained standing for the entire wedding! (This bride is having 3 weddings - don't ask its a traditional thing!) and this cake had to be detachable so each layer can be handed to family members in a month.

The florist wasn't there yet to add the flowers which was disappointing. I was hoping to get a shot of the cake completely done. Hopefully the bride will be able to send me one. Thanks for looking!

I had a very last min cake order and thought this cake would be simple enogh to be able to get it done and elegant enough to not look like a quickie cake

The bride's colors were black and turquoise. I got this idea from David Tortora's book (is that the right spelling?). Dark Chocolate cake with raspberry filling, buttercream icing and MMF accents. After this cake, I bought a pasta maker to make fondant at a consistant thickness. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Named for my mother-her favorite color is green and I liked how this one came out. It is a display cake-still working on my website! Covered with MMF and RI hearts. A dessert glass of my late grandmother is holding the top tier.

Red velvet and champagne cakes with bavarian cream filling and Mary Kay frosting. Tiers are 12, 10, 8 and 6 (bottom is a dummy). Shadows make it look tilted - oh well.

This is my third wedding cake, and I'm really happy with it. I used high-ratio shortening for the first time and I loved how it held up. Much better than the regular stuff, but I'm not sure about the taste. To each his own, I guess. 14", 10", 8" torted cakes with lemon curd. Vanilla BC.

All BC with edible pearls as accents; 14/10/6. Bride brought me a photo from LaFarine.com website and wanted the cake with slight variations (i.e. no monogram). The design is a little more ornate than the plain scrolls. Cake was assembled on site with flowers provided by bride. Cake table was right by a window so the lighting was not the best.

Sorry the lighting was so dark at the venue, we had 4 spotlights on htis cake and it still was not all that bright. This one is a 6, 8, 10, and 14" square, covered in buttercream with gumpaste hydrangeas and fondant ribbon lustered with super pearl luster dust.
