This cake was made with love for my niece's 2nd birthday. The party was a western theme with a girly twist. The cake was inspired by "cakecentral" and the color scheme was designed to match the invitations. I had so much fun making this cake, it was my first BIG cake and my first time decorating with fondant accents.

Made this for my friend's daughter who turned 2. She loves dogs, so I thought this would be fitting. Only had a little notice to make it, so this is what I came up with!

This puppy cake was made using a 10" round cut in half and stood on end for the back end of the dog. The head was carved from a 6" round and the arms/legs/ears were shaped using peices cut from a loaf. Entire cake was covered in a thin layer of buttercream and than the 'fur' was piped on using the 'hair' tip. Eyes and nose were piped with tip 10. Dog bones were hand-shaped from fondant.

Puppy and Kitten cakes for twin niece and nephew's 2nd birthday! Just the right size for the lil ones! All edible and suckers made great dog tags for laffy taffy collars! Turned out really cute!

All bc. 14, 12, 10, 8, and 6 square - the 12 and 8 inch tiers are meant to be a little shorter, in case anyone is wondering! Once at the reception, I could totally see why it needed to be these colors!! A traditional white wedding cake would've killed the whole look. A few orange roses and some greenery was added to the top, but after I left, so no picture yet.

Thanks to Bkeith for the article on how to do these! Colors came from a napkin the party planner gave me. I used the PME cutter plunger for the gerbera daisy and followed the tutorial on gefjonsdottir . com (no spaces) Except I used a wilton daisy cutter for the center frilly part. I messed up on her face but didn't want to redo the hair and bonnet (which I loved) so I made do. Next time I am doing the stupid eyes first!

Cookie order for hand painted leopard cookies. These were airbrushed first yellow/orange then hand painted. Trim is painted with edible gold.

7in & 11in chocolate buttercakes filled with chocolate meringue buttercream. Decorated with fondant & lustred gumpaste bows. Adapted from a 4-tier design by Maisie Fantasie.

I love the clean lines of maisie Fantasie cakes so was delighted to be asked to make this one by a bride and groom. Bottom 2 tiers are vanilla sponge with lemon bc and the top tier is chocolate fudge cake. Fondant iced and polka dots, flower paste flowers

Iced w/ bc, dots, flowers, and bow are fondant. The silver was sprayed on Nu-silver luster dust mixed w/ lemon extract.

made for my hubby's boss;s girlfriend's daughter's 18th (wow was that a mouthfull!) 5"9" tiers in choc fondant with fondant /gumpaste decorations (including numbers -was my first go at gumpaste numbers)

Milk choc mud cake with whipped choc fudge in the middle with dark choc ganache icing. Bow and spots are fondant with royal icing for the writing. This was my first attempt ant making a bow and writing. Would have liked to do better! Will keep practising!!
