This is a three-tiered fondant covered cake with black spots made for my sister's cow themed wedding with coordinating colors. This is actually the practice cake, but I think it turned out pretty well. The black spots are just free-handed fondant shapes.

Cake for my dh's birthday. Know next time to make it taller rather than wider...with the sides tapered, it would be MUCH easier to ice and therefore smooth! :) My bow loops were nice and hard when I went to bed...and soft and droopy when I got up...GRRR!
Blackberry buttermilk cake...took it to the restaurant...we gave a couple pieces to the watiress and she shared with some kitchen staff. They raved about it so much we left them the rest! Didn't need that tempation at home anyway! It was YUMMY!!!!

My little boy's 1st Birthday. Butter cream with fondant spots. I ran out of time to make a fireman hat, so I used a little one that I had already gotten to use for party decorations. I got the little candles at a party store.

I was given a picture of the gorgeous Pink Box Cake which is a similar cake..tried to change it up so I wouldn't copy it exactly.
Here is what I came up with..
Marble cake and SMBC and ganache filling..covered with Duff Goldman fondant which tastes great.
Just dropped off the two cakes for this weekend and they just loved them both :)
Thanks to Lorraine for her vid on elephant making!! I have used it a few times..awesome!!
Thanks for looking

Made this for my nephew's 1st b-day. All buttercream with fondant accents - everything is edible except for the fire hydrant, dalmation dog and boots which were candles. The firetruck was all chocolate made from a 3-D mold. I used crushed oreos on the top of the bottom layer to make it look like a roof. I cheated on the fire hat and covered a mini plastic hat with fondant - it was a last minute addition that I think really helped set off the cake.

Made for my sister and Dad's birthdays at the beginning of April.
Unfortunately, the bottom half of the cake burnt (my fault entirely) and was unevenly risen, so it was a sloped on one side! This was my first proper attempt at icing and decorating a cake with royal icing. The black icing was quite wet and could have used more icing sugar mixed in, but I didn't want to lose the colour
