I made this little smash cake to go with a first birthday cake with the Sponge Bob theme. The pineapple is made using the mini wonder mold.

This was for a Spongebob fan to take to his birthday at the bowling alley, so they needed something easy to serve. All bc, with fondant arms and legs.

White cake with mini m&m's...does not bake well but my daughter insisted on m&m's in her birthday cake :) All edible. Everything made out of fondant and the flowers are just royal icing. This was so much fun to make. I think my fav. cakes to make are the character ones. Time consuming but fun. Thanks all for looking!

When in search of making a requested Spongebob cake, I found a picture of a cake I loved
on a website called "Enticing Icing". It is no match to that, but most cakes I do are always a first.
I had trouble with making the pineapple triangles. I have to search to see if there is a template for that as some were really uneven. But I had alot of fun making all the fondant figures. Cake is BC with all accents and figures made out of fondant.

My Daughter was in love with Sponge Bob but I didn't want her to have just a plain old flat cake. I made a wood base and used foam for the pants under the wood base board. Transportation was scary but he made it to the party! My brother walked in and asked "Where's the Cake!"

This is one of my favorites. I frosted with buttercream frosting. I used yellow sugar crystals for the holes of the "sponge". I used fondant for the eyes, lashes, nose, arms, legs, and clothes. I love making Spongebob. The last time I made it, I used frosting for everything except his nose, arms and legs, and I actually liked it better.

This cake was done for a little boy who loved Spongebob & his dad is a fireman... His party was at the firehouse so, I was asked to incorporate both themes into one cake... Definitely unusual but, fun to do!

I made these for my DD's 8th birthday. I used the mini loaf pan to make spongebob's body and made CT's for his face. I was going to make all of them spongebob's, but I ran out of time and only got about 12 of them done. The rest I just put sprinkles on. They didn't quite turn out the way I wanted them to, but it was a rush job and I will know better the next time if I do these again.

This cake was done for a family friend's son. This is a triple layer, yellow cake, custard filled, buttercream icing and decorations. My first time making custard and that was a yummy experience! As I went to move the cake, the cake board buckled a bit and the icing cracked :-( I guess I wasn't thinking about the fact that a triple layer is heavier. She's gonna be here in an hour to pick it up. I hope she still likes the cake!

this was my daughters first cake she had ever decorated at age 9 ... I had just finished my first spongebob so, she wanted to do one as well... I gave her the left over icing I had & let her go at it.... Not, to bad free hand work especially for a 1st timer... I did help her do the flowers but, thats it! She loved it & was so proud of herself... I do private parties now where I help the birthday kid and there friends decorate their first cake... Kids Love It!!!!
