I made this birthday cake for a friend who loves SpongeBob. The design was from 2006 Wilton yearbook but I didn't do two tiers like the example because I needed a small cake. It was a really fun cake to make, but boy did the suds take a lot of icing :-)

The cake is 2 - 6" and half of the Wilton sports ball pan. It's covered with BC and the flowers, stovepipe and leaves are RI.

This was for my son's 9th birthday. First time decorating using fondant, mmf on patty and buttercream on regular cake with "sand" (toasted crumbled yellow cake) Patrick and Spongebob both made from mmf, totally edible

My nephew wanted a Spongebob cake with Patrick. His mother changed the date and neglected to tell me so I had to rush the cake and this was the best I could come up with. He loved it, I was a star in his eyes.

After all the work on this cake I decided to take the Wilton classes. Boy were my eyes opened to so many easier methods!
Cake is confetti with raspberry filling and BC frosting with candies.

The figures are made of MMF. I just wish I had something to use for Sandy's helmet. My son said she couldn't breathe so she had to hold her breath! LOL!!

This is one on my first cakes and I made it really fast. Even though it is really messy, I still like it. If you try this one, let the jello set a little before pouring it in to the "pool" and make sure you line it with lots of icing first! You can see where some of the jello tried to escape between layers!

I got this idea from all the wonderful cakes off of CC. Just a chocolate cake with strawberry filling, and buttercream. I actually pushed in his holes and then added a little butteream to make sure they had the dimension of holes.

This was for my son's 5th bday. My inspiration is thanks to MERISSA whom also gave me great tips. This was my first time doing chocolate transfers. I found that they cracked unless I built them up thicker, They came out great..

The characters are MMF and Sandy's helmet is one of the mini plastic ornaments that you can fill. I only used half since I didn't get to put the cake togeteher the way I originally planned. My son loved it though, so that's all that is important!

The 5 year old birthday boy came up with the design for this cake. He was very specific in that he wanted Spongebob to be throwing Krabby Patties at Spiderman and Spiderman to be throwing a web at Spongebob. It took a bit of thinking to make it work on paper and on the cake! I absolutely LOVE the way kids think! This was LOTS of fun to make! Maybe I should have kids design more of my cakes! This is a 1/2 sheet cake - 1/2 white and 1/2 chocolate - buttercream frosting.
