Made to EXACT specifications from a very particular soon-to-be 4 year old! I quote: "I want Spiderman jumping over a building with webs, and its nighttime with a yellow moon and some street showing him flying over it."

It is hard to see but on top of this cake you can find Superman, Batman, and Spiderman..they are made from shrink plastic and hot glued to plastic picks. The buildings are made from color flow and the cars are made from jelly slices candies and spice drops. The birthday boy loved it. I found this cake in one of the Wilton's Yearbooks.

I made this cake for my step-son for his birthday. He is a huge Spider-man fanatic. He is being taken over by the Symbiant. Thank you to all who have done a 3D Spider-man cake and gave me the inspiration for this!

11x13 cake made for a 9 year old boy. Figure is CT. My CT's still need more work. I wanted to do an FBCT, but I was afraid of the figure melting or bleeding since we'd been having some unseasonal warm weather.

I thought about adding a webb around the Happy Birthday Message, but I thought it might make the cake look "too busy".

Thanks for looking!

Old age must be catching up with me on this one...it was suppose to be Superman. Thank goodness he is only three years old and won't be scarred for life. The mom was happy anyway and put in another order for a cake for Wednesday for her daughter's b/d.

Spiderman is an edible image.

This cake is covered in red fondant with Royal Icing webbing. The cake was a yellow cake with chocolate frosting, (requested). Since they wanted chocolate frosting I decided the easiest way to get the red color was using fondant. A little tricky covering the bust, but did the fondant in separate pieces and hid worked it out so I could hide the joints with webbing. The head and neck are molded from rice krispie treats. Thanks to mommabear for your help with the instructions.

2-tier cake covered in MMF. Chocolate Transfer super heros on sticks standing in front of the comic "background" for the character. The backgrounds are piped onto the cake with chocolate (wish I could figure out how to put it on smoothly!). The birthday boy is the super hero on the top. There is Spiderman with a web, Wolverine with an X, Superman with a city skyline, Batman with the moon and a gargoyle, Flash Gordon with a lightning bolt, Cyclops in front of red, and The Hulk coming through a wall.

Darn good chocolate cake, basic golden sour cream cake filled with cookies and cream. Buttercream icing.

Not too happy with his "web" but next time I'll do better!
The little boy was very happy and couldn't believe he could eat it!

This was for my son's 1st birthday in May 2006. The only mess up on this cake was that I forgot to print the spiderman in reverse. I used piping gel to transfer spiderman to the cake.

I used the food spray for the blue on top of the cake. The rest was done in Wilton class buttercream icing.

This was for my niece's son. I did it freehand with color flow directly on the cake. I copied the invitation. I hate writing on the cake because I am always afraid I'll mess it up.

This is just a simple yellow cake with ganache filling. I used blue and red spray colorings, and then used the piping gel trick to get the spiderman outline on to the cake, and then filled in with color flow. Then I piped on the web.
