This is a very last minute cake I did for my best friends little boy who adores spiderman. The cake is french vanilla colored bright green (his favorite color), the icing is almond buttercream, with oreo cookies pressed on the sides. The buildings are graham crackers. he gave me big hug, lol.

I made this for my brother's 3rd birthday just a couple of weeks ago. He absolutely LOVED it! The pan I used was supposed to be a football- but I trimmed the top to round it a little more, and voila! you have a spidey.

I made this for my son's 4th Birthday. Not perfect, but he will be so very excited about it! I did the 10" cakes in Chocolate and the arms are in Lemon. I also did a small side cake that is Lemon. It just has a spiderweb on it. I used the instructions posted on a blog. It was great!! Thanks everyone!

I had an extra layer of cake leftover so I made this up for my boyfriend in about 10 minutes. He took it to work the next day for a co-workers birthday where they also had a cake from a specialty cake shop. My little spidey cake was a big hit...it got eaten up before the other one!

This cake which I thought was going to be so simple ended up being wrought with problems. I did color flow building which didn't dry enough and crumbled. I ending up frosting graham crackers. The look wasn't exactly as I had planned

This is my second FBCT. I still have a lot of practicing to do, but it came out better than my first FBCT cake (July 4th). I should have started out with an easier picture, but after I had some red icing leftover I decided to go ahead and do this for my nephew.

My version of the 3D Spiderman. I have to give credit to this website http://frostingfun.blogspot.com/ for giving instructions. The head is a round styrofoam ball. I couldn't find a wig head. The cakes are 8" for the body and 6" for the arms.

Hated to refuse an order, so I talked the mom into a 'flat' version of Spiderman. We were moving out on the same weekend that she needed the cake... yes, my husband did all the packing and I'm still hearing about it! LOL

Used Wilton Spiderman pan. Doubled the height of the cake by baking 2 cakes and leveling the bottom one. Added spider web for added 3-D effect!

This cake was fun. It was hard to find a wig head with no face. I know it is not perfect but they loved it and that is all that matters.

This cake is covered in fondant and hand painted entirely in royal. Each spider is made with fondant. As I live in Australia red back spiders are very common hence the red spots on the spiders back. This was the first time I had used royal icing and learnt that I needed to water it down for the next time

I was given 2 hours notice for this cake, but it was for a sweet little boy I met while volunteering for The Ronald McDonald House, and I couldn't say no. He loved it so i guess that is all that counts.
