I had a request to creat an Elmo/basketball theme for a 3 year old birthday boy!
Well...I came up with this! There are sparklies all over the place, etc...
They don't show very well in the photo!

This cake uses fondant and a small amout of buttercream. There are tombstones, pumpkins, hay, and a small mouse. I had so much fun making it.

I had some extra black fondant lying around and I was bored so I thought I would teach myself to make roses. These are what came out, so I then dusted them with luster dust, (Jade, teal, silver, coral, garnet, buttercup and amethyst)

im far from thrilled with the way this came out, but I still love my idea. I will look for a pic of a snowflake and use a very thin tip to pipe with. I think I will have much better results that way.
HAPPY HOLIDAYS and TLF!!

A friend of mine was turning 40 and we decided to have her party at the private room of a local adult boutique. She requested a penis cake and since she is a Twilight fan, I made the penis sparkly with edible glitter and colored sugar crystals. I opted not to go terribly realistic to keep it appetizing. :)

top of this cake was over $100 worth of rhinestones, which i realize was pointless since they couldn't be eaten and would be thrown out but it was for 16 girls i trained for a pageant, given to them at their crowning night party by me. I'm a former title holder and the top of the cake was modeled after my own crown.

Done for a co-worker who was celebrating an engagement. Done to match her personality, very girlie and sparklie! First time trying sugar crystals on BC. Not as difficult as imagined, though it made the cake look a little lumpy. TFL!

I made my own. :) We had a beautiful winter wedding with e white, red and silver theme. The cake resembled freshly fallen snow and was gorgeous. To match our color theme and my hubby's favorite foods, it was white chocolate cake with layers of fresh raspberries and raspberry coulis. It was covered in vanilla buttercream, mmf and coated with a sparkle sugar to look like snow. The rest was brushed with a sparkly shimmer dust and decorated with silver dragees.

SC w/RI and TG, and lots of edible glitter and lusterdust. For my friend's grandaughter who likes tinkerbell and sparkle. Inspiration from kiddiekakes, maryindublin and sallene. The tinkerbell is handcut huge 8 x 6 cookie. The eyes got me, but I had another that was even worse and did not survive (can be seen in cake disasters!) Thanks for looking

I made my roses too pale and they looked awful so I grabbed the vodka, took several shots, then painted them darker and loved the results. Now if I could only smooth out my buttercream.

In retrospect I hate hate hate the drape, but it was on the original sketch I sent the customer....so on it went. But I love the little silver balls I added. They added a nice touch I thought.

This cake was for my sister's wedding. It's heart shaped, iced in buttercream. After the buttercream crusted over, I brushed the cake with watered down piping gel and my husband and I attacked it with sugar crystals. This is also another classic example of a cheap table buckling under the weight of a cake. Look how it leans...

Designed by the 5 year old b-day girl. Her birthday is on St.Patrick's day and she always has that theme for her cake. this year she asked for a shamrock castle with rainbow batter. The turrets are cones covered in green chocolate and brushed with green sparkle gel. There is a pot of gold on the top tier w/ yellow mini m&m's. Everything else is BC. My son pointed out that I did the rainbow colors backwards on the door (oops!) BC shamrocks scattered here and there.

I have to admit I cheated. The ballerina Barbies have a painted on bodice and made this so much easier. I like the look of it. I added some sparkle to the gown but it doesnt show well in the pic.

This is my "how to decorate a cake in 20 minutes" cake....lol. I only had a short amount of time between the time I got off work and when my son's school party started. I copied the design from his Valentine Notes.

This is my first try at making modeling chocolate flowers! I'm doing my brother's wedding cake this weekend, and I'm hoping they'll be happy with what I have! I used red and white candy melts to make my modeling chocolate, and various colors of luster dust for a bit of shine! There are also my baby's breath sprigs in there, and one of the chocolate wedding rings I made. This has been fun and QUITE the learning experience! Thanks for looking!
