Cake for Bake a Wish Austin. The requested theme for the birthday girl only said that she loves glitter, so I tried to make it as sparkly as possible. I covered the cake board in a shiny silver fabric and sprinkled a generous amount of disco dust on it for some extra shine, then covered it in food safe cellophane. Cakes are sour cream white cake with vanilla buttercream, covered and decorated with fondant. Fondant was brushed with platinum edible glitter; lettering and stars were hand painted with edible luster dust for more shine. Bow is made from fondant, brushed with luster dust, then sprinkled with disco dust. The gold and silver gem ribbons around the cake board and cakes are for decoration only and are not edible.

Hair salon opening vanilla and chocolate... the D and O are suppose to b that way i recreated the whole concept the hairdresser wanted! even the scissors are edible

Cake Order (May 2012). A plain and simple cake but effective. The bow was made from Fondant/Gumpaste and brushed with edible glaze. (For the shine effect) Used edible sparkle for the 60. Hope you enjoy!!

(Order Jun 2012) Made this for a little girl's 1st birthday. The client bought the styrofoam castle topper. I painted it with pearl and simmer pink lustre dust. And then added some flowers. Used a mould for the carriages. Made everything from fondant/gumpaste. Hope you enjoy!!

Hooray for Buttercream! Cake for a my daughter's friend. Took pic from Britney's Pinterest and added the song titles and Name - Design from cakes from Jen on flickriver. I chose to keep the photo as a keepsake for the Birthday girl. Yellow cake filled with white chocolate bc. Decorated with Sugarshack's BC. Sparkle gel added picture and cake for my daughter :)

This is my second attempt at a character cake.. It's moist vanilla sponge with strawberry buttercream. There is lots of bright colors and detail on this cake and I loved every minute of making it :)

Chocolate cake, filled with black cherries, ganache and cherry advocat. Pink leopard design is handpainted and the figurine and roses are made of icing. I made the pink edible glitter on the body suit and sprinkled over the roses.

Nothing fancy, just a lot of fun! We didn't notice the slightly off kilter angle till picture time oops! It must have shifted when we moved it to the cake table. The 2 year old birthday girl didn't seem to notice!

Four gumpaste monkeys made in different positions, holding bananas, set on cakeboard on the bottoms. Pink fondant polka dots with 3 kinds of pink sparkle, dried hard. Whipped cream frosting, lemon cake with lemon filling. They were unable to eat it right away and held up in the fridge for 2 days!
