My daughter wanted a rockstar party for her 7th bday.....oh my! I used a sheet cake which is frosted in bc and the covered in fondant. Then I used the star pan for the stage and that is also frosted in bc and covered in fondant. I used fondant for the stars and letter (star cookie cutters). And then used the silver luster dust and amethyst luster dust to give it sparkle! The doll is Betty Spaghetti rockstar!

I did this for my daughter's third birthday. Two bundt cakes to form pumpkin, devils food pumpkin cake, chocolate buttercream, mmf carriage, window, and door (pink) with pink pearl dust, fondant wheels & topper (brown) with bronze pearl dust. Painted curtains with water and pink pearl dust. This was a joy to make.

Just finished this one for my daughter's party...a quicky with some nifty $1 store decorating finds. The paper on the pillar board, and the topper a balloon weight that I took apart and used a different way, and added my whole hand crafted 2008 numbers too. Spritzed with canned edible paint and then coated in super pearl dust, then dusted with sugar sparkles. The center decoration is a bow in the same oppulesant(spelling) colors and stuck in the center, surrounded by curly ribbon of the same. Simple..

Made for four year old birthday. Regular cupcake mix, topped with royal icing with sprinkles in different combinations. Wrapped tower with mini star tinsel for extra effect. The clear sugar sprinkles made it sparkle in the daylight.

Well, after much research, and a lot of time putting it together, the sparkling butter cream cake is now another completed cake project! Thank you to all who gave great tips on getting butter cream to sparkle! I sprayed the whole cake (before scroll work) with edible lustre spray in pearl color, from PME. I LOVE it!! I also used the Rainbow Sparkles from Light Vision Confections on the tops of the tiers. 5MM dragee accents and free form scroll work. Thanks for looking! I appreciate any comments! :)

I made this small (8" round) cake for the sweetest lady ever, she turned 96 last Saturday! She loved her cake, started dancing when she saw it!! It was all fondant with gumpaste numbers and little silver dragees. Dusted the whole thing with supreme sparkle, it was VERY sparkle-y! Sooo much fun! TFL (oh, sorry the pic is not the best, I took it in the middle of the night with very poor light, and all that sparkle didn't help with the flash =0)! )

Designed this cake to coordinate with the partyware. I loved cakesbyallison's bows and tried to repicate it here but...oh well. Everything is fondant or a fondant/gumpaste mixture. Cake sparkles on the dots.

Here is a cake I made on the theme I was given - Girly Auto Mechanic. There was supposed to be a gumpaste figurine of a girl wearing a dress and reaching under the hood with a wrench in hand but the doll wouldn't cooperate and got trashed.

This is a half sheet graduation cake I made this past weekend. I tried an all shortening BC recipe for the first time and it was actually crusting too fast for me. Side border style inspired by Cakery.

This shoe is out of my head...I wish I owned it! I love the baby pink and black together and the added sparkle to the black lettering finished it off nicely for me. I cut the shoe freehand to fit on top of a 7" cake. The little sparkly design on the front straps were cut using a fancy shape cutter and covered in sparkle. I'm quite happy with this one.

These were Cinderella cupcakes made for one of the children in the foster home called Angels Arms. Each child gets to pick whatever subject they want for their cake- I made the shoes out of fondant and a candy mold. I like to include toys that they can keep and she had a whole extra outfit that I stuffed under her skirt so you couldn't see it.

This cake was made for a dear family whose children were visiting from afar and would not be able to return for the holidays. It was pretty fun doing a Christmas cake in July, in S.C. yet! Wasc cake, strawberry fill, bc dream icing and sprinkled with cake sparkles in the message oval. Love using that sparkle gel too! Thanks so much for looking:)

First attempt at fondant covered whimsical cake... any pointers on how to lawy the fondant down the sides smooth so it doesn't bunch on the bottom would be greatly appreciated. Was at least able to cover most gaping with the stripes luckily. Used pink luster dust over the entire cake and stars.

This one was done in fondant. The scrolls were done in fondant with disco dust all over them. I did the spray coming out the topper with fondant and painted them also with the disco dust. The ball on top came predone in the glitter so we matched the cake up to that. The entire cake was covered in lots and lots of truffles. TFL

This was made for my daughter's b-day. It was a Hannah Montana theme birthday. It was a hit but was a lot of work. Thanks so much for the tutorial in the articles it took the mystery out of it. Still I was worried it was going to fall over.
I was also proud of how the zebra sparkle print turned out!

picture does not do this cake justice! With a step ladder, I could barely put the top tier on. It was about 29" without topper or plateau, 40" tall with. All sugarpaste flowers with real swarovski crystals (those were on dummy tiers anyway) and dangling crystals on wires.

White Sparkling Sugar on fondant. Simple, yet elegant. This is my first practice cake for my first wedding :) I think it needs more sparkles, but I need to find a better way to put them on - maybe someone holding the cake or a tilting decorating table?
