An applesauce spice cake with cream cheese filling and BC icing. There are small pearl dragees randomly placed amongst the scrolls and swirls on the sides. Fresh Gerberas were placed very specifically as the bride had instructed. She contacted me after the wedding, and said the the cake was the best part of the wedding!!

Colors and design was done to match the party invitations, kind of art deco looking. 12" square, 9" and 6" round cakes, iced in buttercream w/ fondant decorations. First time doing the balls on top the cake w/ the wires, must be a trick for getting these guys to stay in place!

Well folks, here it is-my first official wedding cake. This is the infamous "Serious Cake Topper Help needed" topic of mine. The cake serves 144. It is a white chocolate butter cake with buttercream icing. EVERYONE raved about it. This cake was for my husband's brother's wedding today. It is over. I'm glad. It withstood being up for over 8 hours before we were able to cut it. I am tired and have been up for over 48 hours now....No charge for it (our gift) so let me know what you would have asked for it. TIA

This has been the most expensive wedding cake I have done. The bride wanted her vows around each side of one layer and a poem on another. It didn't photograph very well. It took me ages to cut out all the lettering. Two layers were mude cake and the other two were white mud cake. It was very very heavy. She just wanted white on white with a touch of silver.

I made this for my grandparents' 65th anniversary on December 22nd. Because they both have bad eyesight, I tried for bold color with contrasting detail. The color is based on the blue and silver ornaments my grandma decorated her Christmas tree with when I was a child. The cake is 6" and 10" rounds iced in SMBC. I wanted both tiers to be tall--6 inches at least, but the bottom tier layers were flatter than I would have liked and it's too short. I think the taller top tier makes the cake look off balance.

This is a chocolate mud cake covered in fondant sitting on a fondant covered board. The stars are made from modelling paste and painted with silver and black food colouring. The scroll is also made from modelling paste and written on with royal icing.

My very first *big* cake. Was made for my inlaws 25th anniversary. Dark chocolate scratch cake on top & yellow cake w/ extender on bottom. Covered in crusting buttercream then used Viva method. Learned lots with this cake, and was very happy once it was done! LOL

The mom wanted a cake featuring all the things her son wants most ... money (the gold coins), a credit card, a car, license, and a winning lottery ticket. I googled all the images, printed them out on photo paper, then used the boy's initials and his age as his license plate number for his hot new car. The boy definitely wanted some bling. And he LOVED the cake.

Thought of the Top Hat and thought it'd be easy. Well, easy it was.... though still very time consuming. The rim is a 12" Chocolate cake the Top part of the Hat is Chocolate and Yellow cake checkerboard. First attempt. It looked great when they cut it. The band is white fondant with black spray (new- don't like it) and silver flakes. Could have done better with the decorations, though time was short. Thanks for looking.

Just an up-close picture of the cake topper I made for my moms cake. Royal icing with silver dragees. I was really happy with how they turned out, they were my second try because my 3y.o. ate my first ones, and at the birthday party my brother was messing around and broke one of them off.

White caramel cake with coconut filling.I painted the whole cake with royal icing then dusted it with alot of silver and antique silver enhanced the scrolls.I wrapped it with a scarf of white fondant and used two pearl gumpaste hearts for the topper. Lots of fresh flowers made for an elegant fall/winter wedding cake. It was fun to make, kind of like sculpting with plaster.
