I made this cake for a surprise quince party for a girl whose family could not afford a huge bash. The youth group got together and had a wonderful quince for her with candles, elegance and style. This was my first elegant cake so I wanted her to feel special and did the best I could. It is a butter and chocolate layer cake with dulce de leche, white and dark chocolate chip filling. The decor is fondant including the callalilies.

This was for an elderly couple, the brides mother called and ordered a white cake with Crisco frosting, square please, on Sunday before the wedding on Saturday. It was a simple cermony, only their children and grandchildren. I think it turned out well. I made the roses out of fondant, I have the cutters but no foam so I just found some directions where you don't need it. They aren't delicate like those on here. but so much better then my buttercream ones.. Thanks for looking!

This cake was the second made for a surprise 50th birthday party
this past Saturday. This cake was used as the centerpiece for the
table that the "birthday girl" and her husband were seated at. The
other tables had silver and black star cascade centerpieces.

OK I said I would post this cake success or disaster. I will make this quick so I don't get shut down again. I decided to go off the actual toy which was much easier but still a pain in the butt. Base is wooden dowels and bolsa wood. Legs, neck and tail are RKT, back is cake and the belly is styrophome (only after a failed attempt at defying gravity with RKT). Covered in BC and MMF. It was a disaster on my end but our friend loved it. Thank you everyone for all your help!

This is the 30th birthday cake i made for my brother. I think just about everything that could go wrong, went wrong with this cake, even the batteries in my camera died when i wanted to take a picture lol. Anyway i got there in the end and learned some lessons on the way. My brother loved it which is all that matters in the end. All comments welcome.

I made this cake for a couple that got married at Alice Cooper's Restaurant in Phoenix. It was a a rock and roll / sports themed wedding so the color of the cake matched the Phoenix Suns and the Diamonbacks ball teams.

This was put together pretty quick when I was really tiered, as evidenced by me forgetting to put foil on the board!! (How do you forget that??) I had just seen one of Thanh's cakes with the lines on the corners, so I took that design idea for this one. Used my spray pearl luster dust and spray gold dust for the first time on the flowers. WOW! LUV this stuff! Silver dragees accents on the cake and flowers. THe silver borders beads are not edible. Not putting this one in my portfolio!
