I made this cake last minute yesterday for my bf's father's birthday! He loves working with his hands and fixing things! These are chocolate tools covered in luster dust and fondant accents! Thank you for looking!

Made for my SIL and BIL 25th anniversary. Bottom tier is pina colada cake, top chocolate fudge - both filled and iced (very poorly) with cream cheese icing flavored with parrot bay rum. Could NOT get icing smooth - the more i treid, the worse it got. My first fondant bow - other accents are fondant too. . I realized after I took the picture that I missed some pearls by the monogram, but I fixed it before the guests arrived. Thanks for looking!

I love Thanh Thanh's work, and this is an attempt to replicate one of her designs. For a 25th Anniversary; marble cake with buttercream icing; scrollwork done by hand in buttercream; silk flowers and silver ribbon.

I was asked by my MOL to make a shower cake for a friend of hers. She didn't really care what it looked like, she just likes how I bake so it was up to me to figure out a design. When I asked what the colors were I was told silver, opal (irridescent) and white. I searched the forums and found one by dhmichaud that I did with my own twist. I'd never even personally seen fondant before this cake so keep that in mind when you see the hearts and roses. :)

I made this for a surprise anniversary party given for our preacher and his wife. It's a white cake with buttercream icing and scrolls. The pearls and hearts are gumpaste covered with silver pearl dust. I saw a similar cake on this site, and I really liked the scrollwork of white on white.

For a wedding today, chocolate cake, buttercream frosting with fondant beads, satin ribbon and gumpaste bow (my first ever). I decided that since it was only two tiers (4 and 5 inch) that I'd stack it and carry it. Never again. I stressed over every single bump in the road. By the time I made the 30 minute drive my hands were shaking to hard to add the silver beads at the base of the ribbon. I could barely get them to stay put. But I'm happy with the outcome.

Well actually the second. The first one ended up being to big for the cake, and this one turned out prettier anyway. I actually had fun making it.

This was done for a girl who didn't want to give any impute in her wedding. Very rare!! So I did the "chunky elegant" look ... didn't know what flowers I was going to have and didn't have a topper. The night before the wedding I finally convinced her to go and buy a topper ... after the initial shock I really liked the look (added silver curling ribbon to pull it together.) In the end everyone was happy!

6-9-12" Rounds. Cream Cheese Buttercream icing over Dark Chocolate Almond cake filled with Chocolate Hazelnut Mousse. I'm guessing this cake curled some hair with as rich as it was! The florist, who was also the mother-of-the-bride, arranged the fresh flowers...they really made the cake look fabulous! Thanks for looking...wedding cake #2 for me.

This is the bottom tier of a silver anniversary cake. It's 8 inch. I used a champagne glass surrounded by Christmas picks. The top tier will rest on the champagne glass. I tried to upload the photo of the whole cake; but cc seems to think it's the same picture ... oh well, the top tier was 6 inch and it had more silver Christmas picks on the top ... but no champagne glass.

This cake was for a guy who looooves to play his playstation 3. I made the cake with Satin Ice Black fondant, and I love the texture of that stuff...I used vegetable cooking oil spray to make it shiny.
Sorry for the UGLY cake board.....the black fondant marked it up pretty bad!! I didn't have time to fix it!!

This cake was definitely an experience! We call one of my friends the "tin man" because she's had two knee replacements. This was for a surprise graduation cake, and the party thrower specifically requested a "tin man" cake, so I took it literally and made a huge tin man laying on the yellow brick road with a graduation cap instead of the funnel on his head. The cake board was approximately 42" long. WASC cake with white choc. and rasberry filling. Covered in MMF.

This is from my first batch of Rhonda's Ultimate MMF! Awesome recipe!!!
I had some extra mix let from cupcakes and cooked a tiny cake in a stainless steel bowl. I am new to fondant and made the round to large, so after I laid it out I thought it looked cute and just added a ribbon. It was my 27th birthday cake! Thought it was sweet and good for just my husband and I. My husband loved the flavor of the fondant!!!! Last time I made fondant he gagged.....Wilton's!!!
Thanks for looking!!!

This one got a little lop-sided in transport and I'm not super happy with the scroll work. I just can't for the life of me pipe vertically on the side of a cake.
