This is for one of the people that work for my DH...he was a part owner of the company before it was bought so the bottom layer is the founding company and logo, the 2nd layer is the new company, and the 25 is for him. The cake is wasc and I used stress free supports. Loved them...did not move an inch. I did 2 dowels. The 25 and the rice plants on bottom are gumpaste. This is cake 5 of 7 last week.

My son wanted a Futurama-themed birthday party, so I tried to puzzle out how I was going to create a Bender cake. I eventually decided on a flat cake and cut the pieces out of layered white cake, then covered with fondant and painted with silver pearl dust. That stuff is amazing!

I made this for my neice for her 10th birthday. 2-6"x2+"rounds covered in red fondant-w/brown&nusilver luster dust. 3-4"x2+"rounds(top one carved) covered in pink fondant-w/super red luster dust(is NOT red, but a wonderful color of pink!). I made a thick strip of black fondant to wrap around bottom of 4" stack, and painted with nusilver luster dust! She LOVED it!

Third Fondant cake ever. I am still learning, having no class experience. I wasn't completely happy with the bow. But the overall effect was there and everyone at the party loved it. This was also my very first PAID cake. YEAH!!!

6-8-10 tiers in royal blue buttercream with silver accents. The silver circles were originally going to be fondant, but due to the weather, they are white chocolate chips painted with silver luster dust. It rained all day the day I made this so I couldn't even get the buttercream to crust properly to smooth it. What a mess to make! I almost didn't do this cake because the bride waited until the last minute to tell me she needed one. But I was afraid if I didn't help her, she wouldn't have a cake at all.

design i pencilled from another cake the couple chose but using their preferred colors. unfortunately, there wasn't enough time to find bigger silver sugar pearls so these nonpareils had to do. cake topper is actually a porcelain bell ordered new from ebay.

Covered in fondx. The magnolias, leaves and swirly ribbon are gumpaste. I air brushed the tips of the magnolias silver. The bride's dress was ivory with black and silver accents and wanted this cake to match.

This was a cake my mother and I made for a woman's birthday who loves to travel! It was last minute so we weren't able to do all the details we wanted, but I still think it came out pretty great! TFL!

This is my course 3 final. All silver is painted on luster dust. Roses and Pearls are fondant / gumpaste. This was a fun cake, but since it was transported back and forth 3 times from work to class and back to work again somd of my fondant broke a little bit...but overall I am happy with it!

The lighting in this place was horrid, I was lucky to get a picture turn out at all. It is all buttercream, with a sheer silver ribbon wrapped around each later and small pale pink silk roses at the bases. It was much prettier in person than it is in this picture.

I call this Wedding Cake Connie. Named after the Groom's mother who ordered the cake. The pattern on the round tiers matched the dress of the topper. We made it silver with luster dust and added beautiful flowers. Would make an awesome Valentines themed wedding cake.

For my 07/07/07 wedding. This was my very first wedding cake. It was 14, 12, 8, 6 with the 14" being a dummy cake. There were so many little things that went wrong. The wedding ceremony started 30 minutes late because they had to pry me (the bride) away from the cake!!! Our minister, who was watching while I was finishing the cake, incorporated our cake into our vows! I may post all of the details in the forum later :)

This is our wedding cake, which I made the night before the wedding. Each layer is a different flavor consisting of chocolate, strawberry and plain white cake. All were frosted with buttercream frosting. The ribbons are real ribbons, because I don't have experience with fondant yet, and didn't know how to make those. All the accents on the cake were drawn on with buttercream, then I painted over them with silver dust mixed with vodka. The flowers were some we had left over after making the bouquets.

WASC for my Husband's Cousin's Daughter... Thanks to Boween for the inspiration. This is a combo of two of her cakes. I hope I did them justice. The bride loved them. they are a 14", 10" and 6" square. Enjoy, and thanks for looking. (The roses are silk, preferred by the bride over the cost of sugarpaste.)

This cake is based off of the brides dress. Starting at the top layer the crosses are based on the broaches on her gown. The pink layer is from her bodice and the last was for the groom who loves black. The martini glass was something unique to use and the bride was thrilled with it.

A romantic wedding cake with doves, sugar roses, silver pearls and white drapes.
Everything is handmade of sugarpaste, the cake is filled with straciatella mouse.
I used a rolling pin with a motiv to create a special effect.

Thanks to: CC members for constant inspiration and instruction, and: www.allinonebakeshop.com (Austin, TX) for the super quick shipping on my luster dust. I will be doing business with them again. I need work with my handwriting but the cake was good!
