This cake was made for someone my sister works with. She was getting married on some island so my sister and her co-workers wanted a beach themed cake. The writing on the cake says "Eat, Drink and Be Married" (this was also on her wedding invitations). The cake was F.Vanilla with Almond Buttercream frosting. All the shells and the palm trees were made from chocolate. I also used sanding sugar for the beach.

Onesie cookies for an office baby shower. No fail recipe with Antonia's icing - Turned out awesome and tasted even better. I actually made girl cookies too because the woman was having a boy and a girl - twins! But i forgot to take a picture of those. DOH!

This is a cake I made to go along with a baby shower cake. This was for a seven year old boy who was to be a big brother for the first time, so I just made a small 6" cake just for him. It is chocolate with chocolate icing. The letters on the front "JON" are his name, and were made with MMF (my first shot at it!). It was lots of fun, and he LOVED it!

Here is my take on that great clothesline cake. I finally had the opportunity to make this one for a friend at our church baby shower. I SHOULD have taken photos before I left my house (and tried but the batteries died), because the BC cracked before the shower. I did a little fix job, but it doesn't look as nice as it did at home. I was sick about it, but I got rave reviews anyways. This was my first shot with any kind of fondant, and I used MMF for the clothes. I had a blast doing it!!

This was the groom's cake I did for my SIL's wedding. But could also be for a shower I suppose. I was trying to copy a cake I saw online and this was my first attempt. I had trouble with airbrushing the tree rings due to my airbrush pen breaking. The actually should be smaller around, but Oh well. Hope you like it

This is a 1/2 sheet white cake with a 3D chocolate/pound cake on top of it. This was my first attempt with the 3D cake, there are 2 plastic rubber ducks on it, and the bubbles are made with thinned icing, and tip 21 ( I think). I used piping gel on the top to make it look like water. I had a lot of fun with this one. I took a couple of cakes that I had seen on here and incorporated my own ideas, and this is what I came up with.

This cake is from the Wilton 2006 Yearbook. The only thing done differently, other than the colour of the umbrella, is that the cake is 2 layers instead of 1. This way, I was able to sculpt it a bit, as well as feed more people. A lot of fun!

This cake was created by cutting a square out of an 8" square cake and placing it on top of the other cakes. It is meant to look like a child's playing blocks.

Four tier baby shower cake for a lady in one of our parish offices that adopted an 18 month old little girl. Bottom tier was 12" round (4" high); white chocolate/almond wedding cake with almond flavor filling, 10" round (3" high) chocolate chip/cherry pound cake, 8" round (4" high) lemon poppy seed with lemon filling, top tier was 6" round (3" high) orange flavor cake with orange flavored filling. All layers were covered with buttercream then MMF over the buttercream icing.

Another version of the clothesline cake (back view). This cake flew as carry-on from NY to FL and survived quite well, except for the gumpaste booties so I covered them w/ curling ribbon.

After buttercream dried slightly, I made indentions with a ruler. I piped the decorations with buttercream, but they could be made ahead with royal icing.

I made this cake for a friend's shower...a "half" paying job. She paid half and I donated half. Mutually beneficial. :) Anyway, it was white almond sour cream with almond icing and raspberry buttercream filling. It was declared by one of the guests "the best cake I've ever had...and I like cake". :)

This is a spice cake with pumpkin ice cream. I used Cool Whip to ice the cake. Borders and writing are classic home-made cream cheese icing. Baby is made from fondant, which was dropped onto the cake. Fondant baby was easily removed by client prior to slicing.

This is a 3D teddy bear on top of a round cake base done entirely in butter cream. I did this for a workplace baby shower for a co-worker. It was my first public endeavor.

I have a customer that wanted a crib for a baby shower and this is what I came up with. The headboard and footboard of the crib is made of white chocolate (which I tinted with a hint of yellow candy color), and decorated with royal icing flowers.

covered in BC, then fondant, filled w/mocha bc icing. Gumpaste/fondant pointsettia & I used pomegranate "seeds" as the seeds in the flower & along the rim of the cake at base area. They looked like little gems-try it! I made this in nov...I've been slacking uploading pics...

Butter cake filled w/strawberry preserves, covered in BC. Mimiced the bedding chosen from Pottery Barn for the nursery-my friend doesn't know that this is part of her gift...a big part...ha! So I think she'll be surprised :) Tried to represent each part of it a tier at a time...

11x15 two layer basketweave cake. Unsure of sex of baby so they wanted a boy and girl used and only wanted the colors pink and blue. Candy melts used for the decorations on the blanket. Ruffles and rope border finish the decorations.

2nd beach themed cake and much easier then the 1st. (Used fondant to make trees, flower, shells, etc.- very time consuming!). This was fun to do and the bride to be loved it. You can't tell in the pic but I used the edible glitter and the "sand" looked very real.
