I made this for a friend's baby shower. Her nursery is in brown and blue. Its all MMF except for the baby carriage. I made the baby carriage from Wilton fondant because it hardens better.

I want to thank those of you I contacted for support on this cake..thanks again! It came out OK! The only big issue I had with this cake is that I started my lettering to far up so the Here comes the Bride lettering is a little crooked..so I just told the bride she had to walk down the aisle sideways!! tee hee. Fondant dress dusted with pearl dust. I used Chef Duff's roll up roses technique which worked GREAT!!!! roses and leaves and ribbon made with fondant. Buttercream icing marble cake. Thanks CCers!! Baby Boy shower cake, covered in fondant, fondant carriage, chocolate chip white cake w/ chocolate SMBC. That carriage took forever and a lot of patience to make! I really love doing oval cakes, they are my favorites.

This cake was done with a whip n' top frosting (like bettercream) for a baby shower. This was my 7th cake and the first time I made a bow with fondant. The "dots" were all fondant but they were adhered with buttercream to keep them from sliding. Cake sizes were 12, 10, and 8 double stacked. I was really happy with the outcome. The mother to be selected the design of this cake after she saw a cake by CristyInMiami. So thanks for the inspiration!

Made this for a baby boy's baptism. Used the Wilton cross shaped pan. All BC. Did Cornelli Lace design and bead borders.

My other baby bum cake is a regular on cake wrecks but I had another person want one so I did it. These cakes haunt me. :p I thought this one turned out cute though so I figured I would post. It is only a 6" cake with a mini baby "diving" into the cake.

The topper is an antique baby shoe provided by the customer. Chocolate cake, ganache filling and buttercream icing. The diamond pattern is fondant.

This cake was a last minute request, and I had nothing but problems with it. The blue fondant kept tearing and it took me several times to get it in place. The design was a bit different in my planning. The bow was too soft and won't set up, so it ended up flat. The cake colors were actually a lot lighter that this photo shows, much more pastel blue and softer color of brown. Painted the entire cake in pearl dust. The design was inspired by a couple of cakes here on CC!

Buttercream icing with fondant circles and dots...ribbon wrapped around the bottom...this cake was for a baby boy due near Christmas so I included an ornament with the cake.

I've been wanting to try this belly cake and I did it for my book club meeting (one member is pregnant). It was hastily done but I'm pleased with how it turned out for my first time. I found the round cakes difficult to ice. If anyone has tips, I'd appreciate it!

This is the shower cake I had this week. It was 2 layer 8" WASC(love this recipe) with almond BC filling and almond flavored fondant. The rug, bear onesie, towel, rattle and blocks are all fondant. Had to change the idea at the last minute when original idea fell through. TFL!!!

Used wilton 3d egg pan - covered with Satin Ice fondant tinted light light light blue - fondant bow - made it the night before -The nest is 3 sizes of grapevine wreaths - then I used ribbon and CALJAVA hydrangeas and roses. Colored them with shades of blue luster dust and lemon extract

My 1st baby shower cake. Of course I got the design from so many of the beautiful right here on the website. Overall, I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out. I've got to work on writing on cakes. *lol* Oh! The extra bubbles on the bottom tier was to cover up a boo boo. Thanks for looking.

6 & 8 inch tiers iced in buttercream with fondant accents. Shoes are 50/50 gumpaste & fondant (I find gumpaste on its own dries too fast for me) - thanks to stellastarchild for the template & instructions. I also found a video on Youtube called Making Fondant/Gumpaste Baby Sneakers which was very helpful.

This is a madhatter shaped 1 tier dark chocolate mudcake with dark chocolate ganache. It has the baby figurine as seen in the Lindy Smith books and the puppy dog is inspired by Rouvelee (thanks). This is my second attempt at the madhatter shape... the booties and pram are made out of gumpaste...
