A friend called the night before needing a cake for a volunteer at her job who was leaving to have her baby soon. She left the ideas up to me (as usual) which made it more complicated & since I had 2 other cakes to do that night, I came up with this simple tower. The 6" topper had a fondant baby bear w/a rattle on a blanket. The cupcakes were buttercream w/chocolate toppers. The best I could do when starting at 4am!! They all loved it & the mom-to-be was totally surprized. TFL!

Saw these from Wilton and had to do them for a baby shower. cupcakes with 4 in sticks and a bit of candy melts to attach a peppermint then m&m's on top.

It's been a while since I've star-tipped anything, but this customer (ordering for her friend) wanted a rattle cake (therefore sculpted) out of buttercream - NO FONDANT. I am more confident w/my fondant work, so I wasn't excited, but I agreed to do it star-tipped. It came out alright but not too sure about the color scheme & polka dots? She loved it, now I'm just hoping the mommy-to-be does! TFL =)

sugar cookies with icing and RI flowers and deco. It is hard to see but there is luster dust on them as well. They were very fun to make. I was not happy with the flower cookies. I had to cover my mistakes and this is what I came up with. They don't blend well with the other cookies. It was my first baby shower!! Thanks for all the ideas to do these!!

I made this cake for my cousin's baby shower. Her theme is baby forest animals and so I decided to do the Bambi idea. The tree is made from rice kripies treats covered with dark choclolate fondant and the leaves are corn flakes (made like rice krisoies treats). I had a huge problem with the tree, but got it to stand and work just before the shower began. Thankfully!! I also did the invitations for this shower and it was also Bambi and Firends, so I just used the booklet invite I made and went by that to make the figures. All figures are made from fondant as well.

I was asked to make this cake for a baby shower for six teachers at my daughters elementary. I would like to thank Tripletmom for the inspiration on this one. Cake is Tropic Breeze and then covered in buttercream. Feet and shoes are mmf and then brushed in luster dust.

10" & 6" chocolate chip cherry cake and yellow cake alternating in both tiers with chocolate ganache and cherry fillings. Iced in buttercream with fondant decorations, first time at the bow and i hated it, but needed something for the top, though they loved it at the shower, so i was happy about that !

For a baby shower, I made a chocolate cake with oreo mousse filling and covered with vanilla BC. The accents are fondant and the silhouette and carriage I made from gumpaste. The humidity was out to kill this cake!

This is a half sheet cake covered in buttercream with fondant accents. The mother to be is using farm animals in the baby's room, so I put a cow on it instead of a teddy bear like most of the others. I was happy with how this one turned out.
