Yikes! This was 4 years ago, and it's painfully obvious that I was just getting started. New decorators, take heart! It does get better! All fondant with buttercream trim. I don't remember the dimensions of the squares, but they are likely 4"x4". I DO remember that this cake almost made me curse. It took me FOREVER!

This was a cake I did for my daughter..It's shaped in the heart pans.. coverered with fondant and handmade daisy's.

The cake was made using 2 - cake pans, ( 8" and 10") . I iced the cake with a thin layer of buttercream, then used fondant for everything else. Since we knew it was going to be a girl, I made the cake strawberry.

This cake was designed from a mural painted on the baby's wall. It is all buttercream, chocolate cake with chocolate ganache filling.

I made this cake for a baby shower for a "very pregnant" fifth grade teacher at my school. It is a 12 X 18 marble sour cream cake with buttercream frosting. I used an idea from Cakery for the quilt pattern. Thank you for letting me use your idea. I finished this cake at 1:00 a.m. this morning. They should be glad it wasn't a paid cake. The social committee only paid for the supplies. I volunteered to make the cake. Any suggestions or comments are appreciated.

All BC except litle plastic bottles and such. Baby booties made with cupcakes and bc. First cake I have done out of my home...alot different from doing it at work but I think it turned out okay.

I made this for my sister's baby shower. 6" round on 8" square, all fondant except the pacifier. This was only the 2nd cake I've totally covered with fondant...the other one being in my Wilton class! Everyone loved how it came out!

This is a baby shower cake with fondant teddy bears, blanket, balloons and puppy. I really enjoyed doing this one too...it was for a baby shower for two women and both were having a baby boy. BC for frosting.

This is an 8" marble cake iced in BC basket weave. the stars and moon are gumpaste, and the baby, teddy bear, and baby blanket are fondant. The stars are brushed with pearl dust to give them a little shine

Thank You Mamacc for giving me inspiration and instructions on how to create this cake. It's white chocolate cake w/ all mmf accesories. I tried to mimic a blanket that the expectant parents registered for (and that I purchased) This cake cake is for my sister in law and my brother's baby shower. This cake was alot of fun to make. I have carved pieces for legs and arms not sure if it's that noticiable in the picture or not. Can't really see it in the picture but I put there last name initial on the pacifie

Made this cake this past Sunday for a baby girl's Christening. Mom wanted choc, pink and cream with butterflies..which are wafer paper and RI. Overall, I was happy with this and the Mom sent me the nicest e-mail thanking me and raving about it...I always see what I could have improved upon lol..don't we all? Thanks for looking!!

Baby shower cake for my cousin- thank goodness it was a gift and nobody had to pay for this ugly thing! Ok, it's not that bad, but I had incidents with crumbs and a bit of sliding during transport. Bottom tier is chocolate with cookies-n-cream mousse, top tier is a white almond cake with french vanilla mousse. (I couldn't think of anything else) Pink butter cream with chocolate butter cream accents... helpful hints will be appreciated! P.S. The stickers for the bottoms of the kisses turned out really cute!

I made this for a friends shower. Little blocks were 4x4 and iced all in buttercream. Little decorations are not edible. Thanks for looking and all comments and critiques are welcome.
