Shoe/Shoebox & Purse cake. Had lots of problems with crumbs in the buttercream so next time I will crumb coat while the cake is still frozen. I learned a lot with this one so hopefully the next one will look better.

Made a gumpaste shoe using Boonenati's pattern and her tutorial to put on my future DIL's 25th bday cake...Thanks Nati! She went crazy over it and I was happy she liked it so well...I stuck small crystals over the front of the shoe..might not show well in the pic and it is dusted with pearl luster dust..cake was 4 layers of vanilla cake w/ lemon(1) and raspberry cream (2)fillings ..very good flavour combo.

This is for a baby girl shower for tonight...she is a rubber stamp demonstrator too...so gonna make a card to try and match the cake. All BC except for the shoes. Thought it would be cute to add a rose to the inside of the shoe. I was freaking out because I had intended for the basket to be pink..it is coloured in Wilton Rose Petal pink which is beigy looking!!! So I added that same colour with plain rose colour and mixed up the icing so there would be some sort of colour coordination..Hope it looks OK..

This cake was for a 3 year old girl who loves shoes- all shoes. (She is destined to be a great shopper!) Around the cake it says "So many shoes, so little time; so many shoes, only 2 feet; so many shoes, such small closets!" Strawberry flavored cake with cheesecake flavored pudding as the filling. All BC frosting. The Mom laughed so hard, she loved the 'Shoe Princess' idea. :)

Posted my first sugar shoe this morning, asked if it needed a strap, feedback was yes it did so I’ve added this one. I think I like it better with the strap. I am already on to my second shoe… they are quite addictive!

This is my 2nd sugar shoe (2nd today!) my family call me obsessive, I prefer words like ‘committed’ and ‘focused’ lol! Had fun…I’ve been looking for something to put these jewels I bought on…. not sure there is anyone in the world who has a foot that could wear this but anyhow….

This cake is from a design by Boonenati, and I also followed her shoe tutorial, thanks Nati :) It's a caramel mud and a chocolate mud, covered in fondant, both "shoe boxes" are handpainted and the silver one has a lace cutter pushed into the fondant to create the pattern on the bottom.

I am going to make a shoebox cake for my MIL on the 27th. I wanted to practice since I never made a shoe before and if it was decent I would keep it LOL. I like it but need to work on smoothing and I need to make it bigger. I am trying to decide whether or not to make a box and a purse or 2 boxes

This was a 'play' piece for me. I'd bought the patchwork cutters, I used for the side designs, & wanted to do something with them. Plus I'd never made a shoe before & really wanted to. So I decided to combine the two & came up with this.
