My sister loves shoes and since I can't afford to buy her any of the designer ones..I thought I would make her one out of gumpaste! I ran out of time so that is why the box doesn't look so great! Oh well:)

I didn't have a shoe or purse cookie cutter -- so I used a round cookie cutter and drew the shoe and purse on the cookie -- used Antonia74 (Helen) receipe for cookies and icing.

My friend Becki loves shoes! I love chocolate! So I thought I would make her a surprise cake that she could remember! The shoe cake turned out better than I expected and I know she was thrilled and could not believe I made it! It turned out so beautiful! Much better in person but one can only do so much with a camera!

A friend of mine finished the Utah Grand Slam this weekend.(5 marathons in a span of 6 months) I made this for him to congratulate him on completing this feat because I bailed on him after one marathon. Top layer and bottom layer are yellow, middle layer is chocolate. All buttercream frosting except bottom, chocolate, and the fondant shoes. Didn't have time to make the shoes white chocolate.

I wanted to share my baby shoe pattern. It is a good pattern for a beginner because that is what I am!
I made them from all fondant but now I would make them 50/50 fondant gumpaste.
You can see them in my gallery if you want to see the finished product ...it is the pair of white shoes not the single one..that was the bad prototype...
I hope you enjoy the pattern and if you have questions, please give me a shout.

This was my very first major order, it was for a sweet 16 party. Mom wanted shoebox and purse cakes, thanks to many of the ideas that I incorporated from this website, I was able to do it. The shoebox lid is a MMF covered styrofoam rectangle. However, the bottom of box and handbag are cakes. I am really not that comfortable with fondant yet, so there were alot of little mistakes, they loved it though. The shoe was made from gumpaste. Any tips for working with fondant???

Both cakes are iced smooth with buttercream. The design on the top of the main cake was done to duplicate the plate for the birthday girl's theme. All accents are done in fondant. Accompanying purse is accented with a fondant handle and heart.

This cake was for my sister's bridal shower. This was all firsts for me, first time making the cake flavors, first time making a shoe, first time making a shoe box and a sache (sp). The shoe box cake was key lime cake with white chocolate mousse and crushed graham cracker filling. The sache was a gluten free chocolate cherry cake with whipped chocolate ganache filling.

My friend Mo's daughter is having her sweet 16 party today with all her friends. I have the honor of doing her cake. She has recently discovered MAC makeup (her aunt sells it and her mom wears it) and has also discovered the wow factor of high heels. I incorporated these factors into designing her cake. Everything is edible except the makeup... it's real MAC. The shoe is solid chocolate with MMF and silver luster dust detail work and the makeup bag is cake covered with MMF and imprinted with a quilting mat, also painted with luster dust detail work. The White icing on the base cake is buttercream. SWEET 16 BRE!!!!

This is a pair of flip flops I was asked to make. This is my third pair of flip flops I have made. I put these in the sand for something new. The straw is in the shoe to put a flower in. I will add that shortly before delivering it. I am charging for this cake. How much should I ask for this?

Here's a closeup of the crown for the Cinderella cupcakes I made for a 3-year-old's birthday. The birthday girl got the crown...the rest of the cupcakes had fondant "glass slippers".

Cupcakes for a Cinderella-themed party. Thanks to CC members for the idea to do a "glass slipper," using a mini shoe cutter to make them out of fondant, and then putting silver luster dust on top.

The shoes and box are carved from multiple sheet cakes. No molds no templates no special pans.
Cake is dense chocolate, covered with chocolate fudge, and then with homemade fondant.
Worked from photographs for this one, in 2006.
Thanks.

What a job!! The purse is pumpkin spice with cream cheese icing and MMF. The shoebox is yellow cake with buttercream icing and MMF. The shoe is gumpaste. The shoe took about 6 tries to get this one and although it is nowhere near perfect, I can live with it. I want to especially thank TToomer, socake and boonenati for all of the instructions and help with making this cake!!

Birthday cake based around a girls night in. Sponge cake covered in my first ever MMF attempt (was ok to work with) as I usually use ready made. All decorations made from fondant then brushed in vodka and water for a nice sheen.

made this for niece's ballet shcool fundraiser. Problems :pudding filling wouldnt thicken properly, so it was oozing out the sides despite making a dam between layers. And I should have levelled the layers but didnt so it was sloppy and I couldnt smooth out the BC -well not enough time or patience to lol. Had other ideas but ended up star-tipping the shoes freehand onto the cake. UGH I have a whole year to practice until the next one LOL

also for niece's fundraiser. I gotta say I LOVE the 1M tip lol. I mean my technique STINKS because I'm still practicing, but it looks so much more decent than just slapping on. As seems to be the norm with me, had I more time I would have sat down and patiently made my lil MMF ballet slippers not look merely like MMF chunks with indentations made by the bottom of a paring knife =))
NOTE to self: Get more organized with my time so this is no longer an issue HAHAHA yeah right that's gonna happen
