This was one of seven cakes I made for my daughter's school's celebration of Dr. Seuss' birthday. They were all white cake half sheets with white BC. Principal didn't want much colored icing so the red stripes are fondanat

Vanilla cake with chocolate SMBC icing covered in fondant..everything is edible except for the lollipop sticks holding kite and used as support.

100% edible. All made from sugar and edible (except the fish bowl and smash plate cake). Green eggs and ham (baby's smash cake) and goldfish are on a rotating topper. Hat is four 4" layers stacked then 6", 9", 12". MMF. Baby also had Christening today so I put a small little cross in his hand. This cake took a LOT of time and it didn't help that I got sick early on in the week so ended up having to rush everything. I'm happy with how it turned out and they LOVED it!

My friend was doing the Dr Seuss theme for her new baby. She asked me to make a cake for her shower. The cake is 4 8" rounds (white cake) w/ lemon curd and raspberry filling. I covered the layers with fondant and painted the red & white stripes on the hat. The hat rim is foam covered in fondant. I put real fish in the bowl so the baby could keep them. The mobile decorations are made of fondant and I used cookie cutters. I let them dry out and then painted them with food coloring.

Circus McGurkus is a Dr. Seuss book from long ago and a favorite of my granddaughter. The tent top was formed with sugar cones and RKT and then covered with two layers of fondant. The pennant flags are fondant shapes folded over cloth covered wire. Balloons and decorations are fondant.

I made this cake for a work associate's daughter's 3rd birthday party. I love Dr. Seuss so it was fun to take it on. I don't have an airbrush, so I wish I could have gotten the red more "cartoonish", but you work with what you have!! It was for a friend, and they loved it, so that was all that mattered! It's 6 - 6" layers of vanilla buttercake with butterfinger buttercream and chocolate ganache. Thanks for looking!

Cake based on the book "Oh, the Places You'll Go!" by Dr. Seuss. Made for a class that was "graduating" from middle to high school. Bottom and second tier are vanilla cake with butter cream and fondant accents. The top tier is vanilla cake covered in butter cream, a layer of white chocolate ganache and fondant. Balloon at very top is made from Rice Krispies Treats covered in ganache and fondant. Black outlining is done with black food gel and a paint brush. Thanks for looking!

The cake (made to look like an open book) was a white cake with chocolate buttercream filling and covered in a white chocolate and strawberry flavored buttercream. The figures (Cat in the Hat, The Grinch, Horton, the Fish from Cat in the Hat, and Green Eggs and Ham) were fashioned out of rice cereal treats and covered with fondant. The larger Cat in the Hat was fashioned out of rice cereal treats and covered with fondant. The face on the Cat in the Hat was drawn on with black edible marker.

Book is 9X13 2 layers cinnamon swirl covered in cream cheese frosting with fondant letters. Smash cake is 3 inch rounds stacked and covered in fondant. The hat was a little trickier than I expected but it should do the trick. First birthday cakes are always fun to do.

A small Cat in the Hat cake I made for an auction. It was about a foot tall, covered in MMF. It was for a Relay for Life auction, and the theme was about more birthdays.. so I made it with a birthday candle on top.

This was soooo much fun to do. I love Dr. Seuss! The fish is styrofoam covered in fondant with blue fondant in the bottom of the glass bowl. The hat is 4 six inch cakes stacked with extra support in the middle. The ham is 2 1/2 layers of cake. I thought I was going to have heart failure when I stacked it for the first time!! TFL!!

I tried my best to remake a cake originally posted by TheSweetestThingCS. A friend's daughter saw her cake and asked for one for her twin sons' first birthday. She also asked for individual smash cakes for the boys so I made the 4" Thing 1 and Thing 2 cakes for them. Butter cake for all tiers except the hat. The hat is RKT covered in buttercream icing and fondant. Thing 1 and 2 are fondant with a little tylose powder added. The teapot and ball are made with gumpaste.
