This was my first attempt at a stacked cake.
It looked great before moving it to the park and sitting in 90 deg heat, but everyone loved it.

This was my daughters second birthday cake. Thanks to this website because this is where I got the idea and instructions. Its a 12 inch square with one chocolate layer and one vanilla layer with buttercream frosting. I will post an in process photo too which really helps to see how it came together. I was pretty happy with it and my daughter loved it. My corners need some work but with more practice they will hopefully get better.

Simple cake with design taken from invitation. Elmo gave me HELL! I had to make 2 BCTs of him and they both broke BAD! But I ran out of time so I had to do "Emergency Surgery" (lol) on Elmo before the customer got here. But she LOVED IT! She was about to cry so that made it all worth it!

My first time doing Sesame Street --with Elmo on the top. This is the first time I've done Elmo. It's for a little girl Birthday. Big Bird, Cookie Monster, Zoe are made of sugar -- color flow technique and the cookies are from a mini bag.

9X13 white cake base with 3-D Elmo on top. Iced in butercream with fondant accents. Elmo is made from rice crispie treats. Little tip: let them dry before you attempt to decorate! This is Elmo's 2nd head...the first one blew up!

Thanks to CakeFairy and lilrev for their awesome renditions of Elmo, as well as all the others on here!

Sesame Street Babies! Buttercream cakes with Fondant figures and accents. Blocks are made of Gumpaste. This was made for my little guy's first birthday. I felt like it was a wedding!!!! I almost sliced off my thumb 1 hour before party began. I was a wreck. I regret not taking better pics of his cake..the one I'm most proud of. It was a big hit! I can't believe how hard it is to plan a party and make a cake when you have a baby! How things change!!!!

This cake was done to duplicate a Sesame Street birthday party themed dinner plate. Top of cake was transferred from a template with piping gel. Side decorations going around entire cake were freehanded. I used an old Wilton small Big Bird character pan for individual cake. It took a REALLY LONG time to decorate. Longer than some wedding cakes.

This was a cake I did for my 3 yr old daughter. She wanted Dora, Sesame Street and Soccer on her cake. I carved it to look a bit like a topsy turvy cake, pulled the colors from the dora paper plates and added sesame street figures. There was supposed to be a dora candle on top but my 18 month old disappeared with it. The soccer ball on top is made from the mini ball pan and is a replica of her favorite soccer ball. the bottom tier was chocolate, middle and top was vanilla and all were filled with raspberry
