This is a 12x18 chocolate sheet cake with banana mousse filling. The
#1 us sponge cake with whipped frosting & strawberry filling. Covered in
whipped frosting. Sprayed with Wilton Blue Spray and I used the new
sparkle gels for the shapes

All cake, I used round cakes and carved elmo's body into a shape, applied his legs and arms with pegs and his head is made from the sports ball cake pan. Some fondant detail, this was a fun one, thanks to all here on CC!

This was a first birthday present for a friends daughter, basic buttercake underneath, aust buttercream icing, flavoured with orange oil, americolour red red colouring, eyes were rolled fondant with black fondant dots for pupils and a black strip for a smile (americlour black with a glaze for shininess)
The shape was cut by hand and i shaped the nose out of an offcut. The star tube was a number 5. And the birthday girl didnt like it! She spat it out and screwed up her nose!!
She'll learn!

An Elmo birthday cake I made for my ds 2nd birthday. Not at all what I pictured, but due to a family emergency which caused me to have a short amount of time to finish it, this was the best I could do.

A sesame street themed first birthday cake. The top tier is removed and given to the baby for the smash cake. :-) I wish I would have made the bottom tier a two layer cake, because the garlands would have looked much better. Oh well! Guess I know for next time! :-)

I made this one as a variation to another Sesame Street first brithday cake that I had done. The only difference is that tis time I used a stryofoam cone covered in fondant to make a birthday hat. Everything else is edible. Although next time I think I will try rice crispy treats to make the hat.

This is a fun cake. I did it for my son's 2nd birthday. It is a 14" round cake. The fun thing is that it could work in ANY size. I also did the SAME cake for my son's preschool graduation party, only cookie monster had a mortorboard hat with a tassle on.

These were so much fun to make! I saw them posted here on CC by another member and had to try them. My neice is going to go crazy over Elmo! These are chocolate cupcakes with buttercream frosting and a black fondant mouth. Takes me back to my childhood!!

Made 2 of these for twins' birthday--one for each child. 8 inch round decorated in buttercream. Eyes are fondant covered cardboard circles. Nose is fondant.

This cake was made for my cousin's second birthday. The crayons and the number 2 were made with candy clay elmo was made out of fondant. This cake is a variation on another elmo cake on this website. I don't remember her name right now, but I'll look it up. Thanks!

This was done for a friends little boy. Chocolate cake w/raspberry buttercream, MMF and my first attempt at a chocolate transfer. Had a lot of fun doing this cake.

I made this cake for my niece's first birthday based on the invitations. The characters are a frozen buttercream transfer and I then went over them again with different tips for a 3D effect. The top layer of the cake itself turned out to be a disaster. The entire layer crumbled when I put it on the bottom layer. It was late and (luckily) just for my sister so I managed to cram all of the cake pieces together and carefully iced the top so you couldn't tell once it was iced and complete. It looked fine!
