This is my back up plan for an 3-D Elmo cake I have to make. If I can't get the Elmo to sit up without looking like he's been beat up, then I'll just use these chocolate designs around the cake! LOL. This is only my second time working with chocolate floodwork. It is definitely time consuming to do so much detailed work, but like I said, if the 3-D thing doesn't happen for me, I've got these chocolate babies to fall back on!

Ok, if a customer were to ask me to make this cake, I would charge $30,000.00. Yes, as in THIRTY THOUSAND DOLLARS. Spell it with me....N E V E R A G A I N!! Everything is eatable except for the head which is a styrofoam ball. I used fondant, marshmellows, toothpicks and chocolate flooded decorations. The bottom is a 14" round chocolate cake. Took me four days to make Elmo. This cake was a gift for a close friend's nephew.

Hi all! This was for my son's 2nd birthday. Elmo is from the Wilton pan and is all buttercream. I carved the Sesame St sign out of a 9 inch square cake and iced in buttercream as well to match the famous sign. The cupcakes were inspired by a posting from bkrmama and I found the Ernie cupcakes on a Sesame St site. Look for a close up of the cupcakes too.

These cupcakes were inspired by a posting from bkrmama and I found the Ernie cupcakes on a Sesame Street site. I had these for my son's party and then made more (plus Elmo) for my son's daycare class. The kids all started shouting out the character names! These were REALLY easy and quick to make. About an hour for 26 or so. I had all the colors ready. The eyes are marshmallows with a dot of dark chocolate or black frosting. All the rest is tinted buttercream (except Big Bird's beak). Enjoy!

A Sesame Street bday cake I did for my daughter's 2nd birthday this past weekend. I really had alot of fun making the characters. If only I hadn't run out of time the day of the party to really focus on the cake itself! A fun project nevertheless.

I covered this cake with Satin Ice fondant. All accents and characters including light post are edible. This was my first "biggie", complete with a personalized cake base, which I think made all the difference. I was pretty pleased with the way it came out. I had a little left over batter so I threw in a smash cake for the baby.

This was a dark chocolate cake with dark chocolate buttercream frosting. Elmo is made from rice crispy treats then frosted. Everything else is made with MMF. By the way, one leg is up on the other - it's a bad pic!

WASC cake with strawberry BC. Cookie Monster is a FBCT and mini chips ahoy for the cookies. The borders are actually purple but they don't look that way in the photo. Mom who order this said she was hoping for a BIG mess so I gave her a double layer, that should do it LOL

I had a request for a 3D Elmo, but don't have a Wondermold pan like I saw in directions from others (lilrev), so I constructed this one in the same manner as my Hello Kitty cake (6" round, 3 halves of ball pan, plus 4 cupcakes). Next time I will carve the head a bit to for a more oval look. Arms and legs are constructed of fondant tubes held in with mini dowels. You really can't see his thumbs from this angle, but they were cute. Base is a single layer 10" covered in fondant and hand painted.

This is the first time using melted chocolate for decorations. It sure is easier than buttercream transfers!

This cake was inspired by someone on CC but unfortunately, due to the new website changes, I cannot find their picture to credit them. Whoever you are, thank you! The can was made out of 2 3" high 6" pans, covered in fondant. The head was made out of the sports ball pan, covered in bc.

There is no known cookie cutter so I traced a template for 50 cookies. It was fun. I used no fail sugar cookie recipe and antonia74 royal icing. I didn't have to ship them anymore so I'm glad for that. I didn't want any to break.
