This stacked cake is iced smooth in ivory buttercream. The fuchsia ribbons and bows are made of fondant. I achieved the fuchsia color by using the Wilton color "Rose" with some "Violet". I wanted the bows to harden, so I added Gum-Tex to only my fondant bows. Cake topper was supplied by bride.

This cake is iced smooth with white buttercream. Then a diagonal piece of waxed paper is placed around the cake. Then it is iced smooth with golden ivory buttercream. Pre-pressed scrolls are then piped around the diagonal design. Tip 1 dots accent each scroll.

Golden Ivory and Red royal icing roses were made that are accented with a florists artificial green leaves.

It was 90 degrees this past Saturday when this cake was sitting out. See the shine!!! Luckily, it did not melt.

This cake is iced smooth with buttercream icing. Bride wanted a simple cake with holly leaves and berries. Holly leaves and berries were made with royal icing on a pre-printed pattern on top of wax paper. Edible pearls were coated with pearlized luster dust.

Had to deliver this cake on a Friday morning in a snow storm that closed down the public school system. I was barely able to get out of the driveway with my car......not one holly leaf fell off....Whewww!

14, 10, 6 Rounds w/Buttercream icing and white cake with orange flavoring (brides request). With double layer ribbon and fresh flowers. It turned out wonderful, it was an August wedding and the AC gave out on the hottest day of the year (in the South) everyone was dripping before the ceremony ended - but the icing never gave way and it was a long time before it was cut!

It was soooo humid when I did this cake. Did the delivery 20 minutes away and discovered the hall had no air conditioning, no windows and no ventilation system. It was 115 F plus humidity in the building. It held up well, but this one really made me nervous!

I couldn't wait for my class to start! I'm taking Wilton I in a week, but after getting the course book and materials, I got so excited I decided to try one! My in-laws 40th anniv. was in a few days, so I made them this cake. The topper is original from their wedding cake. This was my first ever layered & decorated cake. After looking at lots of articles and forums on this website, I took the plunge. Now I really can't wait for my class to start!

I love this cake!! The weight of the fruit made the layers bulge more. I cannot get rid of the bulge no matter how little filling I put in there!! What's up with that!! This was my friend's wedding so I got to enjoy some of it and it was soooooooooo good!!
