This was my first time using the Wilton cross pan. It is the hardest cake I have ever had to ice. The beveled edges are really a challnge. It was for my second cousins baptism.

Course I final cake -- daughter chose the colors (again). Finally mastered the roses, though had trouble with the ribbon. There is a "patch fix" on the top where i had to take it all off and refrost it. Why my buttercream was a different shade of white is beyond me! And I wish I could make better sweet peas!! :)

I've seen several versions of this....and was happy when I finally had an order for one. I bought the rose. Cream cheese pound cake w/strawberry filling and BC icing. Swirls are fondant and tag is an icing image.

This cake was covered in buttercream, with fondant stripes. Red buttercream roses, and buttercream piped hearts. The inside was soft buttercake layered with chocolate buttercream.
I realy enjoyed making this cake, it's one of my favourites, i definetly don't make as many buttercream cakes as I'd like.

This was the very first wedding cake I made for someone else. The first wedding cake i *ever* made was for my own wedding. This cake has white chocolate paste roses, plus white chocolate rolls. It was an absolute nightmare to make. It served 500 coffee serves, it was 6 tiers, massive!! 2 x 14 inch base, 2 x 10 inch center 2 x 6 inch top. Also had some very small silver silk flowers in between the roses.

This was my first cake that I had to drive a good distance (2 hours) to deliver. I was so nervous. Thankfully if there had been any disasters on the way I could hide them with a rose pedal!!

Rebecca sent me a picture of a wedding cake with fresh flowers on top and asked if i could do it all in icing. The cake is three tiers or white mudcake, cut to a vase/bucket shape, covered in buttercream with buttercream roses and gumpaste leaves. She loved the cake. The roses were done with strawberry buttercream, the scent was really lovely, everyone at the reception commented on how lovely the cake smelt.

This is my finale cake from Wilton Course III. It is the regular 10" and 6" tiered cake with fondant roses, but I decorated the sides with white chocolate cherubs...an idea I got from Cake_Princess. Thanks CP!

I stenciled the rose pattern onto the cake and piped with a #2. The bow was fondant and painted to get that brushed look. Took forever to do this one, but I had fun with it.

I made this at class yesterday. Beth Parvu was teaching. I am still in awe that it isn't real and that I made it! All of the flowers in the class were beautiful! Thank you Grandmasweetiepie for letting me know about the Kake Kraft Korner!

I made this for the Red Hat Society in my area. Their main colors are red and purple so I wanted to incorporate both. The base cake is vanilla with pastry cream and strawberries. The dome is chocolate cake with whipped cream. Both are covered in fondant. The roses are fondant as well as the leaves and luster dusted.

This cake was made for a co-worker's mom. I was not so happy with the roses but, they are buttercream and I don't expect them to stay too firm in Puerto Rico, it is too hot here (90+ degrees)

Wedge shaped white cake with apple filling iced in BC. Notebook made of fondant with tylose and notebook paper is rice paper. I kicked the teacher out of her classroom for about 10 minutes and had the kids each write something nice or just happy birthday on a piece of rice paper with edible ink. I then "filled" the notebook with these pages. Pages are held together with floral wire. Cake is accented with gum paste flowers.

This is my brother and sister-in-law's wedding cake. She and I designed this together. It is chocolate, white and strawberry cake. Iced in ivory BC. The flowers were fresh pink roses. My brother made the cake toppers out of metal. I baked this cake and made all the icing here at home and traveled 9 hours and put it all together. On top of that, I was a bridesmaid, my 1 year old was a ring bearer, and my husband was co-officiating the wedding. We were BUSY that weekend! Thanks for looking!
