This cake didn't live up to my "vision" but I guess it still turned out okay. The cakes are 6,8,10,&12 inch covered in buttercream with stenciled scrolls. The chalice and lilies are gumpaste and the draperies are fondant. Next time I will definetly make the draperies thicker to match the size of the cake. I put this in First Communion but it was for a good friends ordination. TFL!

This was done for a church young adult ministry called 4D (Fourth Dimension). It was for a grand re-opening of their young adult/youth building.

Details: top cake (choc.) is approx 8x12 with vanilla BC. Bottom cake is two half sheet cakes (yellow) layered with choc. BC. Hand painted logo - no transfer, but used tooth pick impression for a guide. Wrapped in fondant and finally got to experiment with my new icing bag and tips for the first time for the border.

This was my first spiral cake. I made it to welcome our new pastor to our church. The cross and alter are made out of a gumpaste/fondant mix. They are replicas of our alter and cross at Firstlight.

This is for one of my favorite customers (has been ordering cakes from me for awhile now)....but usually she orders for her kids or family members, and this time her husband ordered her a birthday cake from me. I was really excited to do this one although I don't think it looks as nice in the photo as it does in person. I hope he likes it as he just sent me some photos to work from and gave me some tips of what he liked, and left the rest up to me.

This cake was made for a priest's 10yr anniversary in the church. Bible and Book cakes were sheet cakes, covered in fondant and airbrushed. Smaller book was the Wilton book pan. I used chocolate modeling clay for the small replica of the church, as requested by the client. Cakes were all covered in fondant; airbrushed --fondant, BC and chocolate accents. Chalice was handpainted with old gold luster dust and other colours. All edible except for the ribbon.
