My first attempt with rolled fondant.

I was amazed at how much you need to use and how expensive it wa to buy...havent attempted to make it but i have a great recipet for it, ill attempt this weekend. Anyways this cake may look large but the camera fools ya..its basically 2/3 of a 1/4 sheet cake. wow...i know...but it turned out to be quiet easy and my family was very impressed. I watched a 4 minute tutorial on youtube.com on how to make the lilys and the grapes i pretty much winged it. Hopefully my next ones come out better. Fun fun!! So fun ive requested business card be made to start this as a side job on a permanent basis and make some money...anyone know how much i could charge for this? It fed about 25 people

I made this for a friend who was just ordained a priest...hence "loaves and fishes" for a symbolic cake. I am ashamed to say that I have forgotten the name of the person who did a fabulous fishing basket who told me how to do the basket weave. I think this cake weighed at least 50 lbs. Very easy to transport as it didn't move an inch the entire 30 minute drive on the highway! Everything fondant except the "loaves" they are scones left over from a tea party which I used in desperation and exhaustion!

Customer loved Michele25's design, so I tried my best to replicate it using a 9x13 cut into a cross shape. All BC with the exception of the center cross.
