This cake is made for a wonderful girl who means a lot to me...she is my best friend's daughter and she is my daughters' piano teacher. It is her Birthday AND she is entering the convent at the end of August! The cake has quite a few flaws and just didn't seem to want to work out the way I intended. The top layer INSISTED on tilting despite my efforts to straighten it out with dowels. And again my super niece helped with the detail decorations!

These are my first gumpaste people! I decided to a baby shower theme and have
sweet baby angels. The one in the blue is the commander, the pink one is the sweet one,
and the baby butt under the blanket is taking the day off! Enjoy

This was made using a Wilton car-shaped cake pan then carved to the right shape. I covered it in in vanilla frosting and used fondant for the hands, feet, and face as well as the dress. The wings were made with white decorator icing ( I used betty crocker in the tube). The hair was done with chocolate icing.

Did this one for our nephew's confirmation. It was 100 degrees outside and we thought he was going to end up with a puddle instead of a cake, but it held up alright.

I am a novice at cake decorating but wanted something especially from mom to my son. I took a 1/4 sheet and carved it into a church window then placed a cross cake on top. I really enjoyed making this cake for him!

Cake made for local priest who was moving to another parish. I always have such a laugh when I'm doing figures, especially when I do the head, & add the bits that make them into the person i'm modelling - in this case his silver hair, and his specs! Aine2 influenced - of course - although a far cry from her expert level!!

This is my daughter's baptism cake. The bottom tier is devil's food, the top is white. Covered in MMF. This is my first MMF cake, not too bad, I don't think, though I'm pretty sure the bottom tier is a bit lopsided.

I must thank annieH for the inspiration based on her own trees. For my taste, the forest in conjunction with the Nativity scene topper was a bit much ... Still, it was exactly what they asked for, so there you go. You can't really see the silver luster dust in this lighting, but the cake was sparkly. Almond cake with lemon curd filling, cream cheese icing, white chocolate fondant. Thanks for looking!

Cake covered in MMF with RI accents. Crosses are a sugar cookie coated in chocolate, covered in fondant. I wanted to just make a thick cookie, but bought the cheap tube cookie dough and it spread out like a thin blob, so I had to add reinforcements. Poinsettia's are RI. Praying hands are chocolate painted with bronze luster dust.
