This is for a boy and I didn't want it to look too "froo froo." I thought
about adding more details, but I didn't want the "over-decoratoritis"
look! I hope it isn't too boring. This is a combination of the Wilton
cross pan and a 9x13 pan that I carved and pieced together to give
it additional height. It is covered in fondant and detailed with RI.
The cross is made from white candy melts. It says "first holy
communion" on it and has a nice verse. TFL!

I just finished this cake for two little cousins...the dad wanted white and pink with some flowers and the little girls. I hand modeled the girls from the usual fondant/gum-tex..and I used a mold for the cross though...pretty happy with this cake.
Thanks for looking

This cake gave me so much trouble. First my baby stuck her finger all in the icing when I was done so I had to re-do all the writing. I also ran out of brown coloring so instead of turning out chocolate brown it came out poopie brown!!! Ha! He still loved it!

Baked using Wilton's two mix book pan with a thin layer of 11x15" cake underneath to increase the servings. Decorated in buttercream. I had tons of trouble getting the figurine to stay upright on the cake. She fell over about 10 times while I was trying to get a photo, thus messing up all the icing in the circle around her--ended up using royal icing to "glue" a sucker stick to the back of her legs, and inserted that into the cake.

This was a cake I made for a Shabbat Dinner honoring a Rabbi. It's carrot cake with creamcheese frosting covered in fondant. The Rabbi is completely made from fondant as are the stars and I sprinkled blue sugar crystals on the "floating stars". Unfortunately, the Rabbi was a little front heavy so I had to place a small ball under his feet to help support him, but otherwise I am pleased with the outcome.

I made this cake for a preacher on his birthday. The hands could have been much better, but I freehanded it. My grandmother told me that they didn't want to cut it, lol. That's pretty much the best compliment!

I just couldn't put little crosses on cupcakes. Stain glass look is made from candy melts and placed individually on each cupcake. I painted the edible silver luster dust to give the lead look.

This was done for my twin grandson's baptism. It the first book cake I've ever done. I did an FBCT and added lily-of-the-valley made of gum paste. then used bronze pearl dust on the sides and gold pearl dust on the pages to add an antique appearance. It turned out sort of nice.

Thanks so much to jdelectables for allowing me to borrow her design. My cousin chose this cake out of many pictures and ideas I sent to her for her son's baptism. It's a yellow cake with a strawberry filling - very simple. All buttercream including the flowers; the only exception is the fondant plaque in the center, which is dry dusted with luster dust. Cake was made from carving two 12"x18" cakes.
