French vanilla cake with cream filling covered in fondant. The fondant is painted with luster dust. Fabric ribbon border. The topper is 3 roses tied with fabric ribbon. This cake took 8 dozen (fresh) roses and over 2 hours to set up!! I am just glad this one is done!!! I will post a closeup of the grooms cake.

All decorations were made with Buttercream but we had trouble with the icing being too soft but we were to lazy to add extra confectioners sugar to fix the problem.

4-Layer french vanilla cake iced in buttercream with fondant Elmo, bows, stripes, circles, & letters, all done in primary colors. This was for a little girl's 2nd birthday (hence, the bows). My version of a design previously submitted by Mommyof2Angels - thanks for the inspiration! This was a very fun cake to do!

Finally got this loaded! This was last 12/'05 wedding cake for our dear daughter Tiff and her lovely groom Alan.Started on the royal icing snowflakes months in advance. You can't tell in the picture very good, but the snowflakes were all different. They had edible pearls, dragees, rhinestones & glitter.Cake was red velvet to keep in w/the Christmas theme. It was such a joy to do this for her. She's such a sweet daughter!! The cake base was glass blocks w/white lights in the center to simulate a block of ice

My first paid wedding cake! YAHOO! It was for a friend, but you have to start somewhere! I used MMF for the roses and the cake. Amazingly, I bought the ribbon before I made the roses and it was a perfect match!

This cake is for a man's 60th birthday. His favorite things are his grankids. So his wife had me put them front and center. Choc/Raspberry,orange/orangebuttercream, strawberry /creamcheese. This idea came from Sugarshack's red and black art deco cake.

For a customer who is going back to Trinidad to live. First time doing human sugarpaste figures. Used SF Extra Red to get the brilliant red colour for the Trinidad Flag. Cake was cut freehand to the shape of the Trinidad island. Cake is a rich fruit cake with lots of rum!!!. Customer loved it.

6", 8" and 10"X 3" pans used. Wilton initial, silk flowers with ivory ribbon and gold rope as a border. Thanks to my DH for the smooth look...he's the expert at home and loves the Viva towel method (yet to try the Melvira method). A couple of people asked if this was a fake cake because it looked so perfect. Thanks for looking!

This was for a girl that had a strawberry shortcake birthday party. She didn't want the character drawn on the cake, so I had to figure out another way to incorporate the theme.

This is a bouquet of 20 cookies! There are 3 hearts, the rest of them are rose buds, lg roses or sm roses. These are mostly NFSC w/Alice's cookie icing, and a few chocolate roll out cookies (all of the white roses are on choc. cookies) This is being given as an anniversary gift, and the little cards tucked in here and there all have little 'love notes' written in them from the husband. Is he sweet or what??

Here's a close up of one of the small roses so you can see the detail. I used a round cookie cutter and just cut a few curves in the edge for the petals. The rosebuds were made w/wilton's tulip cutter, and I cut off the little stems. Alice's cookie icing (which looks a little mottled- not too happy about that, live and learn!)

This firetruck was made as a groomÂ’s cake to replicate the firetruck that the groom drives for his fire departmentÂ…..he was very surprised! It was A LOT more work than I could have imagined!!! Iced smooth with buttercream, accents made with MMF, tires are chocolate donuts.

This was a RED velvet cake I made for a Ghoulish dish for work.
I plan to add raspberry filling around the bottom of the eye and gummy worms once I get it transported.

This cake was for a bride who LOVES butterflies! It was covered in fondant with fondant ribbons. The butterflies were gumpaste. Two of the tiers were red velvet cake with cream cheese filling, one tier was almond cake filled with raspberry mousse, and the top tier was a very strong rum cake.

I saw another user on here do a FANTASTIC Dale Jr. cake, and I took inspiration from her. My friend was ecstatic and is taking pictures so that she can rub it in to her other friend (who is apparently also a Dale Jr. fan).

Cake with KU colors, thought it looked a little like a clown cake! Customer seemed happy. Not too happy with my not so smoothe icing, but she raved. Also, didn't take my repair kit and of course 2 of the blue strings on the bottome broke, one in transit and one by the customer after transit. lol. Won't forget my repair kit again!
