The cake is frosted with buttercream. The large stars are white chocolate inserted with florest wires. I used tinsel picks and silver ting-ting (from the florist supply shop) to resemble fireworks,

This is a full sheet cake made for the employees at the Regional Medical Center that had to work on the evening of the 4th of July. I tried to make sure they didn't miss out on all of the fireworks. I got lots of great compliments on the cake.

This is my first time using MMF, first time doing a tiered cake and first time doing a Topsy Turvy cake. Did not turn out as well as I had imagined(made a few noticeable mistakes) but I did learn alot from it. I got alot of information from the site that I could not get from anywhere else. I am looking forward to getting better at this with the help from this site and you fine folks. Thanks for all the help!! Cake is Milk Chocolate and Yellow w/Cookies & Cream BC Filling and MMF.

This was my first chocolate transfer, so I decided to keep it simple. Everything but the grad silhouette is BC.

These were really fun to do. I bought the Wilton cupcake holder for 12 cupcakes...kinda wish I had the bigger one now. Made these to take to a family get-together. French Vanilla with vanilla frosting. I colored red, white, and blue, added sprinkles and Wilton firework picks. My family loved them.

This cake was a nightmare from the beginning. The top layer crumbled on me and I had to try and save it. It is really lumpy, but I liked the roses. This was my first try at some serious roses. I had kind of messed around with them before, but I liked these. I definely have some different ideas for next time. Thanks for looking!

This was made by my 9 year old with some help from her 12 year old friend. They did the entire project, even making and coloring the icing.

This was for my son's 3rd b-day. The sheet is 11 x 17, topped with the Wilton 3D Cruiser cake. The border, the "guys", and lettering are all fondant (MMF), plus some additional decoration - the lines on the road, the windshield and headlights, etc. - everything else is buttercream.

Another view. Forget to mention - the roadway is black sugar sprinkles, the tires are chocolate covered donuts, hubcabs are MMF.

The roses were made ahead of time on parchment paper then placed on the cake the next day. Lined piping bag with red and blue to make the border. I was not paying close attention to the placement of each colored rose. Next time I will scatter them more.

The cake was a 1/2 sheet marble and the car was funfetti. The icing was all buttercream. This was SOOO much fun to make, but a little heartwrenching to 1st add an ENTIRE jar of red coloring, then to see my labor chopped to bits! LOL

I love to make gumpaste flowers but this is the first time I made a topper for a cake. The flowers traveled on the plane with me from NJ to Ok and I put the topper together after I arrived in OKC.

They wanted 'fun' & 'red' for this grandma's bd. Carrot cake w/cream cheese icing...what a booger to smooth! Little crooked on the frame but loved having creative freedom for the design!

I made this for my boss' grandson. When his mom asked me to do a Wiggles cake I had no clue who or what the Wiggles were. Between a book hismom brought me and the internet I learned fast. I carved the car from an 11 x 15 cut in half with just icing for a filling. Iced with buttercream using fondant Wiggles men, windshield and accents. I have to thank a member of our local cake club for demonstrating how to make the fondant people. When i delivered and set up the figures he was so excited.

Not happy with this version but the little boy that it was done for really loved it. The side of the car where it should have been an orange ligtening looked just like the rest of the red car. Oh well, next time.

I completed course 1 tonight! Yea! I'm glad it's over and I'm ready to move on to more fun flower techniques. I'm glad I took the course 1 cake class. I dedicated this cake to my DH because he's been watching the kids while I've been in class.

so it was 110 degrees outside today and too hot to do anything except turn on the oven and make a cake that looks like popcorn!!! I had so much fun making this, it was my second time using fondant.

This half sheet cake was made for a 3 year old. His grandpa stated that all he wanted for his birthday was anything with Thomas the Tank on it ...even if it was a sock the kid would be satisfied. Well I made him a cake with Thomas on it and he was beaming with excitement.

This is a cake that I made just for practice. 10/6/4 inch rounds Choc. cake with strawberry filling and covered in mmf. Flowers and ribbon are fake. I don't like this cake at all!!! I'm only posting it because I value all of your opinions. Thank goodness it was just practice and not an order, I gave it to a friend and they didn't mind it was bumpy! :) The mmf was soo weak, it made it almost to 105 degrees here today, and I had a ton of trouble working with it!

This is a 6", 10", 14" cake covered with buttercream icing. The large scrolls on the cake are freehanded in buttercream. The florist provided the red rose topper and I spread rose petals around the bottom layer.

Two tier 10' - 7" wedding cake in Asian design. Red rolled fondant covered. Fondant square draped over top, to give the illusion of fabric draping. Super gold luster dust hand painted filagree work. Large Chinese character "Xi" (meaning double happiness...like the BEST wishes EVER for the couple) made out of royal icing and painted in super gold. Super gold painted g-paste braided borders, hand painted gum paste cherry blossom flowers around base and in center. Sprayed gold new style Wilton pillars.
