Just a vanilla cake with buttercream icing. This had fondant roses and leaves on it, but I decided to just do buttercream roses and leaves so the roses wouldn't have to be picked off of the cake to cut it. So I have another pic of this also lol. Red and blue tassles around each corner of the cake.

This wedding cake was for a friend who planned her wedding in a week...her fiance was going back to where he was stationed in the military and possibly to Iraq. She saw the cake here in CC made by cakesbysam. Thank you Sam...she loved it even though it was not was beautiful as yours!! 12-9-6 layers with the 12" being chocolate w/raspberry filling and the other two were white with lemon filling. Both were very yummy!!

This is the final cake I made for my Wilton course lll! I loved working on it, even though making all those fondant roses was a very time-consuming process! I gave it to my grandparents, to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. :) Thanks for looking! GBY

All butter cream. Piped side design with silver dragees to coordinate with the silver base. This went with the Montreal Canadiens Groom cake. They were tied together with the fresh red roses.

I had so much fun doing this cake! Bottom is a torted 10" and the hamburger is a 6". I put enough batter in my pan so that when it baked it domed really well. Normally I would squish down any bump, so it was fun actually trying for one. Tablecloth is fondant with the checks painted on, the hamburger is buttercream with fondant lettuce and tomato. The bees and ladybug are fondant as well. Thanks to all those who have posted a hamburger cake in the gallery as I took inspiration from you all!

This was a fun one to make. It's a basic white cake with lemon filling and bc frosting. All the decorations were made of gum paste. I had a hard time getting the gum paste black and red so I ended up painting the stars and steamers with food coloring then dusting them with silver and gold for sparkles.

This was a white cake with white choc mousse and raspberry filling. They were all hearts with buttercream icing. I piped the scroll work freehand. I put wax paper under the ribbon so that the icing wouldn't stain it. Thanks for looking!

Hard to tell from this picture, lighting was terrible - scrolls, dots and last name written on top. When I got there to deliver the cake, and asked about the flowers for it... they pointed to a bucket of roses and greenery, and said, "there you go!" Didn't plan on doing floral arrangement too!
