This cake was an 18x24" sheet cake, done for a Confirmation. The young man this was made for attends a local Lutheran school and the confirmation, is part of the 8th grade promotion at his school. The cake was large enough that we were able to write out his Bible verse with the edible image.

the whole thing is covered in MMF. I had a little leftover wilton fondant that I used for the spikes and the curly pieces. The "fire", teeth, and wings are gumpaste. This was my 2nd attempt at the wings and they weren't dry yet so I didn't stick them in the cake like I had planned. The mouth is supported open by a board underneath the top of the mouth. I did a little painting and also dusted with gold lustre dust.

My first official wedding cake and first time to do such a large cake with Fondant. They wanted complete smooth flush 4 tiers with red roses in between. Their initials are on top in red. I had a bit of trouble with the smaller tiers with the fondant but I think it might have been it was too thin. They absolutely loved it and I am really proud of myself for accomplishing this.

My goal for this cake was for it not to be feminine or chocolate covered. I suceeded in this, but wound up with slightly juvenile design. Alas...it's a free cake for my father in law's 60th birthday and it matches my son's 1st birthday cake...we'll be celebrating them together! :)

This is a french vanilla cake with fresh strawberry/strawberry jam filling and the new wilton buttercream recipie. First time using the comb as I am so lousy at smoothing the sides, but this buttercream smooths easily with a hot spatula. Next time I need to either center the wording better, or put more designs on the bottom. Live and learn!

Two 11x15 sheet cakes (one choc, one yellow) and a Texas shaped choc cake on top. Customer having an anniversary celebration for her business and wanted R,W & B theme as well as the Texas shape but wanted it very clean & simple. This was a VERY heavy cake. I had trouble deciding on a red or blue background and I was glad I chose the red-it made it really stand out.

This cake was two layers thick, one layer choco and the other french vanilla. It is a half sheet cake made with bc. This was made for a potluck at work on Memorial Day but I think it would work for 4th of July or Patriot Day also.

This little boy just loves the Mystic Force Power Rangers, and let me tell you, there just aren't a lot of pics of these guys to choose from on the net. The side detail reflects the visor on the helmet of each Power Ranger. FBCT, airbrushed background, crusting BC, choc. cake w/strawberry filling.

This is a traditional basic white wedding cake with BC icing. Its was suppose to look like pearls on the layers, but didn't come out like I planned. This cake was booked two days in advance, cuz the cater didn't do cakes and they forgot to ask him. This was done for a friend of my hubby's. Not to bad for having to put something together last minute though. There are little roses along the border and a small rose bouquet in the centers.

It all started as something really simple and ended up like this! I always go overboard. This was for my DH boss. It's a 12x12 yellow square with chocolate numbers on top. It's all vanilla BC. Thanks for looking.

This is a full sheet cake. 1/2 chocolate, 1/2 white and the 6" on top is marble. The whole cake is BC icing and the school logo and "Class of 2006" are royal icing. This was a fun cake to make, thanks to the help of my husband finding the right press board to put it on and a box to deliver it in. And also thanks to all my pals at CakeCentral who answered all of my questions about coloring red, royal icing letters, etc.

Here's an 18x24 sheet cake... I modified an idea from another user.... so thanks for that!!! First big sheet cake... I held my breath many times!!! AND, if anyone has a good tip for tinting the icing any easier, please let me know! I think I spent 2 hours alone getting the red and blue just right!

My first tiered cake. All buttercream. 6" round-chocolate, 8"-white, 10"-marble. It was a cake adventure, but I love how it turned out and the customer was very pleased. The actual anniversary couple were surprised, as they didn't know this type of cake was being made for them. The 1/4 sheet cake is also posted. My story is posted on the forum.
