Thanks so much to Fairytale and Doug for the hat box idea and how to! Thanks to Sugarshack for the color/patterns and RSTML for the fabulous RI tower tutorial. Wilton stand; cakes where a mix of flavors. There is a 8,10,&12 in. round, a double layer 12x18and not pictured a 16in. round. This was the first time I set up a wedding cake.Though they were a simple design, it was time consuming. I learned a lot. All BC except for flowers were fondant.

Bride and Groom wanted the Texas Flag with the State of Texas in the middle, but looking like a bandana. "Barbed Wire" on the edges is really floral wire with floral tape wrapped around and dusted with copper dust to make it look rusty.

For a sweet sixteen with an "awards" theme. It is roughly 10"x10"x10", yellow cake with chocolate bavarian cream filling (so yummy). Fondant, fondant, fondant! Made film strips over the weekend to allow drying time. Rolled white fondant out on a large piece of plastic tablecloth and unrolled it onto the cake. So much fun to make!!! =D

Thank you 4kidsrspecial for the inspiration on this cake! It's a classic yellow butter cake, BC icing, fondant and colorflow decorations. The back side of the cake actually has all these cool gumpaste molds which can't be seen. The "3" is colorflow (first time), and the flames are fondant with the letters handpainted. Sizes are 6" and 8". The mom just adored it :).

This is a cake I made for my Mother-in-Law's B-day. Even though her b-day is in November the 4th. of July is her fav. holiday. I made a two tier cake and iced w/buttercream. I smoothed the icing w/a knife I dipped in hot h2o. I colored and rolled out Fondant, and cut it w/cookie cutters. I used the same cookie cutters and traced it on red & blue paper. I cut out and laminated the paper stars attaching sucker sticks, and ribbon aswell. I added extra curling ribbon and finished w/garland.

This is just a choc sour cream cake with BC icing and a FBCT symbol. Since I'm a huge hockey fan I really enjoyed making this one. I did learn that decorating a freshly baked cake was more difficult because of the crumbs (usually I freeze but I had to freeze this cake fully decorated and didn't want to freeze twice). Thanks for looking.

This was for a woman that was leaving her company and moving to Texas! I thought it was very fun looking! Just wish it wasn't chocolate icing! Made this last night! My wonderful BF baked and iced it for me so I could relax a little after working all day! So sweet! He's an icing pro! Always impresses me! lol

Here's my version of the mint candy cookie. I wish I would have had time to wrap them individually because I think that finishes them off nicely. I loved these cookies each time I saw them here on CC . They made really cute goodie trays for friends & associates. Thanks to the previous posters for the fun & festive idea! I made this cake as a 'good will' gesture for my next-door neighbour as we always do things for each other. She has helped us with the kids so much since I started working again, so I thought I'd try and repay her. I hope she likes it. The cake is fruit, and is covered in red fondant with white fondant snowflakes and royal icing piped detail. The trim is also twisted fondant.
