The only directions I had were to use the school's colors -red, blue, and gold, the name and the year. Both tiers, 10" and 6", are WASC with buttercream filling and frosting. Accents are buttercream and fondant. The topper is of curly ribbon in the school colors. The girl's name "Sam" is on the front in rolled fondant letters and on the back of the cake is "09" in the same rolled fondant. Thanks for looking.

My first cake covered entirely with Fondant. I had not taken any classes yet, so it is a little messy. I do like the bright colors, and the birthday boy was impressed.

This was my first topsy turvy cake. I made the mistake of making a butter cake for the second tier - way too heavy for the first tier cake (red velvet). Everyone at the party loved it anyway! I'm slowly but surely learning! It was fun to make! Thanks for looking.

This is my FIRST fondant cake. I made it for my son's 3rd birthday party, which was a build-a-bear theme. It is a chocolate cake, with a buttercream filling, and I had a lot fun making it!

This Raggedy Ann cookies were a lot of fun to do. This client ordered exactly the same cookies for a baby shower last year. Now the baby girl was celebrating her first birthday and because they liked them so much she ordered again the same. I asked her if she wanted another design (of the Raggedy, of course) but she nodded energically. So, there goes the Raggedy Ann AGAIN... I took it as a compliment, but sometimes your "artist inside" wants to do new things. Hope you like them.
P. S.
She didn't want them glazed all the way. That's why you see a lot of cookie background.

This is one of two cakes I made for the 4th of July. It is a 3 layer 6" butter cake, covered in buttercream icing, red and blue chocopan stars, and ribbon. This was made for a neighbor who helped us with our yard.

This was my very first decorative cake. It was for my son's 1st Birthday. Everything about the cake was a first, and I'm pretty proud of myself. The cake was chocolate with cookies and cream frosting and the fondant was the MFF recipe.

My wedding anniversary is July 4th, the kids helped me pipe the stars. We tried sparkler candles and they melted but the sparklers worked just fine.

My niece wanted a Red, White and Blue rose cake for her birthday. It was to have roses and be tiered. Roses are royal icing. Vanilla buttercream icing for the cake and used a cake comb to make the swirls in the icing. Also added some red, white and blue star sprinkles.

This is my first time using fondant without taking classes. I really enjoyed making it and was really proud of it. My 2 year old daughter was also happy with it, so much so that she stuck her fingers in it because she wanted the first piece!
