A little crooked and I am sure I'll do a better job on the vertical tip #47 next time! Did not get the cake in the center of the cake plate either:)

This cake was for my cousin. She graduated high school, so I used ribbons in her school colors. This cake had to travel from GA to FL. Made it fine. :)

This is a repeat of a past cake. Birthday girl was at that party a few months ago and wanted the same cake. Added the sash for birthday greeting.

I did this cake a few years back for my realtor. It was my first wedding cake. I couldn't get my icing to smooth so I iced it fluffy (thankfully, she didn't care so much) and striped the bag for the purple roses to match her topper. She loved it!

This was for my daughter's 10th bday. She had a shopping theme and a wonderful time with her friends doing a Mall Mania Scavenger Hunt. The cake was white with strawberry filling. Cut, carved and stacked a 1/2 sheet cake. (Have to admit I purchased it at a local grocery store. Just plum ran out of time to bake this one.) MMF over BC crumbcoat. The handle was a wire purchased at Hobby Lobby for stringing beads for making a purse. We used gumballs instead. The clasp is a brad just stuck into the cake.

I made this one for my daughter's kid party. The big one turned out so well I wanted to try a smaller one. I used mini loaves of pound cake with strawberry filling. MMF with Bc crumbcoat. Gumball handle on a pipecleaner. Latch, brad pushed into cake.

I created this cake from a photo of only had the top half of her & the wings were barely visible. So, I really liked how this one turned-out, I tried to make the wings 'transparent' by swirling-in some of the frosting from behind/under the wings. I actually got the wing shape from a butterfly on this site, & I used silver luster dust combined with "edible laquer" for the silver sparkles. It was the 1st time I'd used it & it was GREAT! & fun!! =)

The roses were a little more purple in reality, but you get the idea. I had my icing a littleon the stiff side for me, or maybe the bag was too full is that why the petals are choppy looking?

12, 8 and 4 inch stacked cake covered in FondX. Accents are Fondx as well. Inspired by Antonia 74 although I don't have enough nerve to make a cake as tall as hers yet.

This is a cake I did this past weekend for a friend. The cake has gladiolas made of royal icing, then airbrushed to add depth and darker color. It also has an edible image on the cake of the person I made it for. The sides feature a triple bead border done in white and violet to match the color of the flowers.

The top design on this cake is from some very old Wilton cake stencils. They actually belonged to my mother.

Okay. Here she is. Thanks for all the help ladies!
This doll cake was made from a Pyrex bowl and an 8" round cake. It is all chocolate cake, BC icing, with fondant for the top of her dress. The flowers are fake (from a craft store). This was for a little girl's 2nd birthday. When the customer picked it up, she was so happy with it. I totally undercharged her, but it's okay. I had never done a doll cake before and I didn't know what to expect. Thanks for looking.

I made this cake for my sister's graduation from college. The daisies and drop flowers are royal icing and the rest is buttercream. It was my first time using royal icing (love it!), first time making daisies and my first time doing basketweave on the side of a cake so I was happy with how it turned out. Thanks for looking!

This is the second one of these I've done, with some minor changes. It is a mini cake, 3.5" X 3.5". White cake with buttercream frosting and roses. The cake is on a candle holder, to give you an idea of the scale of the cake. Gave this to my son's Pre-K teacher and she loved it! Thanks for looking.

This is my first atempt at a Topsy cake. The top layer could be a little more angled, but I thought it was super for my first try. It was soooo much fun to decorate. The flowers are made from royal icing, did them on wax paper. Royal icing decoration (first time with that-loved it) cream cheese icing with a strawberry and vanilla cake, 9 and 6 in.

I love purple, so I did my course 3 final cake in shades of purple. The tiers are 3", 5", and 7". I did a rush job on the base fondant because I had problems getting motivated after the mad hatter cake incident. Overall, though, I think the cake turned out rather pretty.

I just finished course three and decided to do another mini tier cake (2",3",4",5"). This one is green buttercream (I bumped it and tried to fix it unsuccessfully so the icing isn't smooth) with purple fondant ribbon, bow, rose, and butterfly.

This picture shows how the cake was stacked offcentered a little bit better than the other. Because the top two cakes are so lightweight, next time I think I'm going to dowel them with a straw to help keep them from popping up at an angle.

tThis is the last cake I did for wilton class course 1, class #4. We learned the rose. I was scared of the roses. (LOL) I chose to do mine all in shades of purple, with a ruffle bottom border, and cornelli lace on the sides. (this is also my first attempt at doing cornelli lace) Cornelli lace can cover a multitude of smoothing issues. I made all of the roses in class, the middle rose is the last rose that I made.It is by far the best. The rest aren't bad (imho), but I still need a lot of practice
