this is my first doggie cake. i carved each part,use bc to attach, tip no. 12 for covering the entire body,wilton tip no.233 for the hair.Ears,nose,tail and eyes are made of fondant.

This is a cake I did for my sons teachers grandaughter. It was the first time I made a fondant bow and the first time I used crusting BC I learned a lot that I can apply next time. it is chocolate cake with chocolate filling and vanialla bc. if I could only get the horrifing image of the women cramping it into her car and the cake cracking all over I might be happy with the way it turned out. thanks for looking.

I made this cake for my sisters we all have dogs from the same family & we are NUTS about them! We are going for a BBQ and I thought this would be funny! This is how they all look at us when it is time to eat! heehee . Chocolate devils food cake with BC frosting!

This cake was made with love for my neighbor's son who has an obseesion with his stuffed red puppy, which is featured here along side his birthday cake. The cake is carved from a 10" stacked square.

I made this as a thank you to my son's kindergarten teacher. It is a large cookie. Probably close to 8 x 10 but I didn't measure it. I think I will write something like : I am looking forward to the future thanks to you! " on her card.

I made this cake for my neighbors who had just gotten a black lab puppy. The puppy, grass & dog bowl are all iced with BC. The dog food is malt balls. (And this is how the owners spell "Phenix", i didn't accidentally mispell it...haha) Thanks to Ili for the instructions on this cake!! It didn't come out too great, but it was my first try so i cant complain.

Vanilla sponge cake with buttercream. Chocolate eyes and nose. Fondant ribbon, nails, tongue and name. This cake was made with dog cake instruction from sue_dye. My appreciation to her.

I did this cake for my niece's birthday. Although it is not perfect, she liked it a lot (she's two) and stuck her tongue out at the dog, a nice compliment! The puppy cake sits on a 14" cake.

Wanted to surprise my dog loving daughter with a puppy for her 3rd birthday. She loved it and it was such a hit that I made 3 more of these for different people during the next month. Was way too cute to eat, so we started at the rear and ate forward. he he. Thanks for looking. Diane

Thanks to Sue for sending me directions I was able to make this beautiful cake for my niece. It is made out of (2) 9 in. round cakes & buttercream. Fondant was used for the eyes, nose & tongue.

I made this cake for a friend's daughter's 7th birthday... This was my first 3 D cake- thanks to all of the tutorials on this site... the process went very smoothly. It is a vanilla cake, as requested, with all buttercream decorations.

this was a present for a friend who has a yorky. i was too lazy to mix up the right colors so it ended up looking like a hedgehog :D. this was a fun learning experience.

Black Pug grooms cake - constructed from 1/2 9" round for body - half sheet cake cut into equal slabs and stacked -and sports ball pan head. Gumpaste nose and ears. Fondany eyes painted with piping gel for shine. Fondant stars and collar . Chocolate cake with chocolate frosting airbrushed black.

I wanted to try the puppy cake from the awesome tutorial here on cc so I made one for my grandma who has a small black and white dog. It was really easy to do, except my icing started to fall off after a while, I didn't crumb coat so I think that was the problem. Thanks for the tutorial!!!!

Special thanks to Tat for the original design that was liked so much by a customer. I made a few changes to suit the birthday girl. The dog is a toy. The cake is frosted in buttercream with only the stripes being out of fondant. A fun cake to make!
