This is the smash cake I made for my grandsons 1st birthday. His mom wanted it to be a pumpkin so I made 2 mini bundt cakes and iced them in orange with green stem and vines. He wasn't quite sure what to make of it at the beginning but he finally got into it.

I entered this cake into the 2006 SRBA convention, my first ever Buttercream Wedding Cake! It was a 12-9-6 cake iced in a pale pumpkin-shade and decorated in dark chocolate Ornate Scroll . I then accented it with handmade fondant pumpkins with a "frosted" sugar
finish, autumn leaves and vine tendrils dusted in gold, copper
and bronze gold dust. To my surprise, I won first place. :-)

This is a half of a sheet with buttercream icing. The animals, fence, tractor and veggies are all MMF. I had a hard time with the tractor and it didn't turn out exactly the way I wanted it but I think the animals made up for it.

I made this cake for a customer who was throwing a baby shower for a friend. This friend is due to have her baby girl on Halloween. So the baby shower was a Halloween theme....how fun!

The cake is 10" & 8" chocolate round tiers with buttercream icing, accented with hand molded gumpaste figures. It was soooo much fun making this cake!

Thanks for looking!

Practice cake for Thanksgiving. I used the jackolantern pan but iced it smooth rather than starring in the face. I wanted something simple to welcome autumn. It didn't look so great, but I used maple flavoring in the icing and it tasted awesome!

This is a two-tier chocolate cake with buttercream frosting. The top tier (6x3) was torted with buttercream filling, the bottom tier (10x3) torted with strawberry jam filling. All pumpkins and gourds were made of fondant, the mums were buttercream. The cake was for a family 70th birthday party.

My friend loves fall. I made her this cake to celebrate her autumn birthday. I loved working with all the different fall colors. I made the trees from craft wire and floral tape. The decorations are made out of fondant. It was alot of fun

My second attempt at messing with decorating stuff. Didn't go as well as the first, but I figured that would happen! :-) It's a rice krispy treat, covered in MMF - I thought that keeping the top 'rough' where the fondant came together would be more realistic, but in the end it just made it look sloppy. No biggie. I also think I rolled the fondant thinner this time, making it a bit harder to handle, and making it show the RK lumps more. Fun messing with it though, I'll try to perfect it by Halloween!

The pumpkin is dark chocolate fudge iced in all bc. The leaves are made from white chocolate that I painted with the wilton gel colors and some vodka. I have an order for one later this month and thought I had better atleast practice making it once before doing one for money.

White and chocolate cake (one on top of the other) with strawberry BC icing, top is BC icing mixed in with graham cracker crumbs. (Note to self - grass icing does NOT stick to graham cracker crumbs!) Fondant turkeys and pumpkins

This is darn good chocolate cake with marshmallow buttercream (MMM good) I made the witches hat with fondant the cat is a mini ball and a lot of frosting. The pumpkin is two bundt pans, though my frosting was so thick I had to make my own indentions because you couldn't see the fluted edges in the cake. The broom stick is a mini wondermold with a pretzel rod for the handle. This thing weighs a ton hopefully it will make it to my sisters in tact. Thanks for looking.

Here is the finished pumpkin from the one I posted earlier. I added the leaf garland to cover up the imperfections around the bottom. I am really pleased with the way it turned out.

I made this cake for a neighbor of mine for her birthday. Her kids actually picked it out for her. The poor thing wanted some thing nice and with flowers and her kids voted her out. It is half chocolate half yellow with bc icing for filling. Very basic but I think that it came out pretty good, he is silly looking but cute.

I had some leftover cake and buttercream, so I thought I would try doing a pumpkin cake this weekend as it is Thanksgiving in Canada. It was very hard to get the fondant not to gather at the bottom of the cake! But all in all not too hard to make.

Did this for my daughter's 3rd B-day. My first stacked cake and first time modeling figures. The border is huge b/c my dowels were a little off and there was a gap to hide. I would have been really happy with this cake if I could have gotten the dang frosting smooth but everyone seemed to enjoy it and I learned a lot. Thanks for looking!
