This is my first Barbie cake. It turned out "ok" but I think I can do better the next time. My niece sure loved it though. Pink MMF brushed with pearl dust.

A Princess Jasmine doll cake for my dd's 4th birthday celebration at her preschool. This is my first doll cake and it was fun to make. Also, my first successful buttercream roses. My dd loved the cake and so did her school.

Princess Dora cake inspired by another member (can't remember who). Cake done on a 12x18 and image transferred via gel transfer (that was tough). I was so relieved when it was done!

This cake was done for my daughter's 1st b-day. She had already attacked the cake causing one side to start falling before we could get a good picture of it. It was fairly easy to make although time consuming, I baked cake inside of soup cans for the towers with ice cream cones on top. Fruit roll-up mote, graham cracker drawbridge. The inside is just a drawing I made on a sheet of paper and lined the back with wax paper for easy removal.

This is my first attempt at a castle cake. I was pleased with the end result. It was inspired on Grammasue's castle (if you haven't seen it, you should, it's gorgeous!!). It is vanilla cake with raspberry filling and covered in MMF. Flowers are fondant and top of towers are ice cream cones covered in buttercream and purple sparkles.

7-year-old's Princess Party. Fondant crown painted with Luster Dust. Each part was made individually then assembled on the cake. The Boa was my favorite part.

A lesson well learned...cream cheese icing is waay to thin for star tip decorating! But it did turn out looking like cobblestones (sort of), which is a good thing. The 4yo Princess loved it!

All ideas for this cake have been taken from cakes on CC. Thanks to Cake Central members. The cake was for little princess Kyra who was celebrating her 5 birthday.

I have done this cake once before. I am not a big fan of ice cream cone castles, but I like this one better than the first. The customer was happy with it.

3 tier pink and white with a crown on top. Buttercream icing and edible pearls. I envisioned this cake much differently and was kind of dissappointed in the end. I think I was too tired once I had got to this one!

I did this for my neices third birthday. She saw the wilton wonder mold pan about four months before her birthday and HAD to have a princess cake. She wouldn't stop talking about it. Unfortunately it was pouring rain that day and Cinderella got a little wet on the way to the ice cream parlor. Oh well, she still loved her.

This cake evolved out of necessity to cover up mistakes...so the shawl and heart edging conveniently cover boo-boos!

This cake was baked in a Pyrex bowl and covered in MMF. I airbrushed the fondant with pearl dust and added the lines in ivory. The wheels and accents are all in gumpaste. I didn't know how to get the gumpaste to roll out properly as I have seen on this site in other pics (letters made of gumpaste). I couldn't get a long enough piece. Any ideas would be welcome. One wheel broke beyond repair. I would probably use an edible image to do the door next time instead of painting it on.

I followed the instruction on the package of the doll pan, using two tones of buttercream and some small candies (on the garlands and torso).

Here's the close up of the tiara. The pattern can be found in Collette Peter's book "Cakes to Dream On". I love the book! When I first thumbed through it, I though it had been a foolish purchase, that these cakes are impossible. However after trying and succeeding on the tiara, I"m inspired to try more! For my tiara, I didn't enlarge the picture as the book directed because I was looking for a tiara that would fit a 4 in. cake. I used Wilton tips 3 & 4 to pipe

This was my first Barbie / Princess cake - I was very proud of it! I made it for my sister's boyfriend and told him he better always treat her like a princess. I had just been wanting to try this cake and thought it was a good opportunity!!

This is another take on one I have already done. Just added the white chocolate tiara and dusted with silver luster dust. Many thanks to MelC for the photo of her tiara she uploaded - it worked great for me!!! Also added the little loops on the side like I had seen on the Sugar Creations website - they have beautiful cakes!!!

This was done for my daughters 2nd Birthday.
This was my first time doing a FBCT. I was afraid of really smoothing out the transfer but now I am more confident.
It was done on a 12" cake.
Please be honest & tell me what you think.

The picture is really bad on this, but anyway. This is my rendition of a princess castle that a customer had seen. The problem was that the one she saw was done with a kit I didn't have access to. So I improvised. The windows are done with icing piped around princess picks, with the picks removed. The top castle pieces were hand cut from fondant, a little crooked but she was delighted!
