I made this for my daughter's 5th birthday. She asked for a pink and purple cake and she got it. It is covered in BC. I never thought this size of cake would take me what I thought was an eternity but it was worth it when I saw her face. Precious.

I was sooo excited to do this cake. Inspiration came from this site, of course! Mishaps baking the cakes, they kept falling - almost pulled my hair out. Covered in BC. I used wilton's recipe for the filling, but ran out of butter. I didn't have any flavorings and it was a little too Crisco tasting for me. Tried out the dream whip BC recipe (off this site) and loved it. Towers are paper towel rolls with upside down waffle cones covered lightly in purple sprinkles. Roses are BC made a few days ahead.

Chocolate Italian buttercream icing on 12 inch and 6 inch white cakes with fresh raspberry filling. This was my only real disaster so far-- the raspberries fermented. Tiara is gumpaste. Pearls and daisies are fondant.

This is my daughter's 5th b-day cake. She had to have a purple one and we were having a princess party and this is what I came up with. It took me over 7 hours. I made this after completing course 1. She loved it and the look on her face was PRICELESS!!!! Best 7 hours I have ever spent just to make her happy..LOL

First castle I have done...turrets are ice cream cones coated in candy, although the bottoms looked bad so I covered them again with icing "stones". Also dusted with pearl dust.
