Taken from the amazing previous cakes of Sugarshack and Boween! Thanks to you both for the inspiration.

I wrote on the gumpaste bow & plaque by hand with food colouring pens. (I love my Americolor pen set!! It has saved me hours of labour so far.)

I wanted it to be all pink, but could only find toy crowns for sale with coloured crystals, so I had to improvise a bit. I took the toy crown and painted in those areas with pink nail polish and stuck pink crystals inside.

I made this cake after I saw a cake here on cc in the gallery. I carved a half sheet cake, traced an image of Dora on wax paper, turned the wax paper over and traced again this time in edible marker, then layed the edible marker side on the cake and rubbed the lines with my finger to transfer the image. Then I filled it in with stars, etc.

This was my 8 year old dd's second caked she did (almost all by herself). The flowers were left over from her birthday party - she helped paint them. She also painted the tiera that I had made for practice. She torted, filled and did most of the icing all by herself. Picked her own colors and decorated all by herself. She has been bitten by the cake decorating bug too! Thanks for looking at it. She loves that!

I did two of these for my twin nieces' 8th birthday. These were the very first cakes I have ever done, and I was pleased with the look of them. Had some problems with my icing drying out. You can tell that some of the purple fell off the bottom. They were a big hit with all the kids though!

This was made for a darling girl who turned 6 today. She told me she wanted a purple castle to match the princess themed jumping castle she had at her birthday party.

Bottom tier is white chocolate coconut mud with whipped white ganache, top tier is dark chocolate mud with Chambord liqueur and whipped chocolate ganache and rasberries. Covered in fondant, all the turrets, and details made with modelling paste and royal icing vines and flowers.

Okay.....this was the cake where the dad wanted a Barbie Pegasus cake for his DD without the Barbie or the Pegasus.......strange......i know. This is what I cake up with. It's a 10, 8, 6 covered with MMF and has some edible glitter. Apparently I'm just not getting the hang of the MMF but this was the final result anyhow. Haven't found out what they thought about the cake yet and it's driving me crazy.

I needed a girly princess cake, 9in layered. I had a lot of help from people on here with ideas...thanks everyone:) I was going to buy the tiara but ran out of time and dollar store was closed! So I made it out of fondant! It could look a little better..but the little girl loved it. BC with fondant accents!
