Fondant Bow (which hadn't completely dried), but turned out ok. Like the color combo though, for a 50th surprise birthday.

Another surprise birthday. Just given the kind of cake and icing, and free reign on the rest. For a 75 year old grandmother, so I liked the purple. I love chocolate transfer bows!

A cake I did for a co-worker who likes monkeys. I snagged this idea from a photo I saw in Shenninger's photo album, so credit for the idea goes to her (I just tweaked it to make it mine). Chocolate cake decorated in buttercream and MMF.

I made this last night (well early this morning - only got into bed at 3am) for a 9th birthday. My client lives approx 4 hours away from where I am based and is getting her sister to transport the cake to her (am hoping like mad the cake survives the trip!!!). Both cakes are orange flavoured sponge with orange bc filling. Fondant coverings and accents.

This is my first attempt at a gift box cake. The mom said all she wanted was pink and purple, chocolate cake and can ya make it look like a present? The lid, bow, gift tag and tissue paper are all fondant. I dusted the edges of the tissue paper with pink luster dust and airbrushed Super Pearl on the bow, lid and tag. Icing and scrolls are all B/C...oh yeah...first time attempting scrolls too.

This was for a friend's mother. She had bought apple green napkins that had yellow and red flowers on it. She wanted the cake to be a present with those colors in it. I wasn't sure how those colors would work together, but it actually turned out ok.

All sugarpaste. Tiffany inspired, using Wilton's colour paste in Teal blue. This is also my first bow, I think it tuned out OK. Bow is cover with snowflake luster dust. Was lots of fun to do.

My first attempt at package cakes. The cakes are iced in white and lavender (I know it doesn't look like it) buttercream. The ribbons are SatinIce fondant painted with silver luster dust. The bow is gumpaste also painted with the luster dust.

This was our 1st time doing a cake that looked like a gift. It was fun and a learning experience! Two, 6 in cake rounds covered in BC with fondant flowers and bow. The bow was a little bit of a challenge.

I made this cake for a couple who was celebrating their 30th wedding anniversary by renewing their vows, big reception and all. I got the idea from Amy28. The bows and streamers are made from gumpaste then painted with champagne luster dust. Because I am just starting out, I made several mistakes throughout the process of making this cake. That's why the edges are not as straight as I would have liked them to be. I am learning more and more each time:)

This was just for practice. I'd seen a few of these on CC and wanted to try one. Thanks to all who posted one of these cakes for the inspiration. I wasn't happy with the bow but made it in a big hurry. Overall I thought it turned out pretty well, and it was just for fun anyway.

Boy was this one hard to do!! Not difficult really, just time consuming. White chocolate pound cake covered in peppermint white chocoloate with fondant ribbon and bows. I'm sure there were easier ways to do things but it was my first attempt. Any advice/tips appreciated.
