Popcorn cupcake made for my son's daycare. The marshmallows were cut in half and stuck back together. Then they were stuck on the iced cupcake. I used wilton colors for the butter look. I made the label on my computer and just cut it out. Everybody loved them.

My oldest son couldn't decide what 'theme' he wanted for his birthday this year. So I suggested why not all his favorites. He loved it... and the cake too. It's a WASC cake (his fav) and the images of all his favorite cake are printed on icing sheets and made to look like a movie reel around the side. On top is a White Choc. box of popcorn (cake) and the popcorn is made of BC. I make plain yellow cupcakes for the kids party... thus no arguing over who got what movie! Enjoy & thanks CC for the ideas!

I made this for my friend's teenage daughter - she loves going to the movies and always gets the same snacks. The snacks and filmstrip are chocolate transfers. On a caramel flavored white cake with butterrcream.
Idea came from a cake on Sharon's Sugar Shack website.

The theme for the 5th grade graduation was "Hollywood". This is one of three cakes they ordered. The cake is a 12 x 18. I trimmed the sides for the shape. The popcorn is buttercream (#9 tip at various sizes) with 4 layers of 1/2" foamcore under it. It's all decorated in buttercream.

My friend hosted a party to celebrate everyone turning 35 this year. She loves movies & popcorn so I came up with this idea and found a list of #1 movies in 1972 and wrote the titles on the outside. Most of the movies we had never heard of but it was a fun theme. Cake is all buttercream and the popcorn is marshmallows. I wish I had only put the "popcorn" along the bottom of the cake, I think it was too much on the top. But once I had placed them on the top it would have wrecked my border to remove them

This cake is based on a sleepover cake by MelissaRHK, my customer saw it on this website and asked for it. Mine does not due justice to the original but I was very happy with my popcorn ( I used marshmallows) wasn't sure that I could pipe the popcorn as good as Melissa! Got some help on the popcorn from kakedecorator, thanks! This is a 8 inch square white with BC, MMF accents and marshmallow popcorn!

I got the idea for this one from the 2002 Wilton Yearbook. It was made for a halloween party, my husband was attending, last year. The skeleton was made with candied popcorn, decorated with buttercream frosting.
I just found it in one of my folders, and thought I'd post it. His skull is a different color than his arms, because the arms aren't candied, just stuck to it with buttercream.

Thank you for looking.

After getting some inspiration from several cakes here on cc this is what I came up with. I make this cake for a dinner auction. They got $460 for it. More than I could have ever sold it for. It was a four alternating layer of french vanilla and mocha choc cake w/alter layers of choc ganache and white chocolate with toffee. Decor in bc with fondant accents. Thanks to all that continue to inspire me with your creativity.

Customer wanted a cake to match one of Duff's. I wanted to make it my own but there is only so much you can do with popcorn & clowns. Everything including the popcorn is fondant. I really need to learn figures...these are horrible in my mind. And pointers welcome on figures, lol.

This was for a friend and her husband. It is their 10th year of being together. They met while working @ Publix and their 1st date was to a movie. I made it using 2 8" and 1 7". I craved it, filled with raspberry filling & buttercream and covered with MMF. Name tags are cookies and tickets are gumpaste.
