I got the idea for these from the "Little Cakes from the Whimsical Bakehouse" cookbook. I'm having a movie nite, and thought these were perfect. All the recipes came from the book: caramel cupcakes, with dulce de leche filling, and the WBH House buttercream. The "buckets" are molded candy melts using silicone cupcake liners. These were so fun to make! Thanks for looking :)

Chocolate fudge cake with chocolate buttercream filling, covered in fondant. All accessories are either RKT, gumpaste, fondant, or a combination. Cake is covered in Aztec Gold luster dust, and the star was dabbed on using a sponge and watered-down food color gel. Popcorn is MMF, dusted with cocoa powder and buttercup yellow petal dust.

Thanks to gladds for her help on the cake. WASC cake with BC and fondant. Took this to my daughter's elementary school family fun night and entered it in the "crazy cake" contest. My daughter did help quite a bit with the popcorn. We won 1st place! There wasn't much competition, but she was glad to get the first place ribbon.

I was asked to make a cookie bouquet to raffle off at the school where I work during our literacy night. The theme was "Reach for the Stars." Thanks to paulkjan for the retro sunglasses idea! All cookies were hand cut, except the stars. I did a Google image search to find pictures for inspiration. NFSC with Antonia's RI. Thanks for looking and sharing!

I made this for my dd's 6th birthday. Her party had a movie night theme. This is definitely the fastest cake I ever decorated - 45 mins - finished right before guests arrived. I had something more elaborate in mind but, time ran out. Orders always seem to get done with the detail I want but not my own cakes. :-(

This is a cake for a faculty meeting held on the last day of school. On the cake are some of the programs and classes that were represented. They al;so had an after school program called "popcorn and pencils". I tried to make popcorn out of fondant.....that was tricky.

I did a circus theme for my sons 3rd birthday. I saw this cake on Sugar Creations and loved it. I just added clowns, lion and a seal. The popcorn is marshmallows. I wanted the top tier look like it was falling over with the popcorn spilling out. I should have made a clown on the opposite side trying to push it over. Thought of that the day of the party.
