I finally got around to making a photo with close ups of the figures I made last week to celebrate the birth of my new niece. The ground and tree trunk are white cake with butter cream. The figures are all fondant. I've just started making figures with fondant , these are the 3rd-6th figures I've made. I'm enjoying the medium.

Friends daughter 2nd birthday. My friend purchased and made the cake and I went over Friday night and decorated it. It was weird having people, herself and husband and her mother, watching me decorate it. But I had a fun time with them. Still need to work on getting my stars closer together.

Pooh made out of fondant but all of his friends I made it out from edible paper sticked at fondant, cut it out and let it dry.

another design i picked up here in CC. i had a tough time choosing because there are so many great ones! this is a chocolate fudge cake iced in white chocolate cream cheese. this combination seems to be my bestseller. i forgot to share that the sides are decorated in piped basketweave plus the "hunny" bee. it was my first time with basketweave and i like it! i didn't make it perfectly but my friend still couldn't imagine how i did it. exactly how i thought which is why it took me so long to give it a try.

"Girlie" Winnie the Pooh cake for 2-year old. Covered in MMF; everything is edible except for Pooh (candle) and the springs! The flowers, bees, present, #2, and hunny pot are made of chocolate clay. Writing and supports are royal icing.

This cake was for a name giving. I painted tigger on with royal icing and then made the little bees on wire, honey pots( that spelt out his name) and the old post sign out of fondant.

Lemon cake with lemon cream cheese filling and lemon buttercream. After taking the picture I redid Pooh's mouth and hand. (just didn't like it and this was the third attempt). Mom wanted pink flowers (oops can't see them in this picture, check the other one), other than that the design was up to me. Ballons made from gumpaste and piped with RI. Honey pot made of gumpaste with royal icing honey.

We tried to make cake balls, but they were too moist and this is what came out of the food processor. We thought it looked like a pile of pooh, so we added the toilet paper and peanuts. It still tasted good! Funny how ruined cake balls can turn into something like this!
